You don't need to apologise, that's cool. That's how you feel. We'll agree to disagree on the pricing, no problem again, all about your opinion.  Not sure too many who have bought it already would

I feel it's pretty common sense to pay a little more for something outside of the various 737/a320 renditions of addons that have plenty of available resources for systems implementations etc etc.

Hi mate.  I had been waiting patiently for almost two years for the F28.  Having bought their 146 - I knew it would be solid. I think by now you'll understand and have seen that the F28 is a stun

Any news on the F100 development? Really hoping for this one too and the RJ. Never seems to be a timeline

Hi there

There was a dev update on the F70/100 back on January 19th and for the RJ Pro back towards the end of December.

https://www.justflight.com/in-development

Work is progressing nicely on both but the work isn't conducive to being able to bring more regular updates right now and we're just going to be tempting fate by offering dates/timelines etc. There's nothing more we'd like to do than give you more and more info and detail and release dates but it's simply fraught with uncertainty and danger so it makes it a bit pointless until we're a little further on. I'd say we're aiming for a middle of the year release for the RJ and then a few months after that for the F70 and 100.  That's very much just gut feel at the moment though there's not tons of science behind that feeling.

What I can say is we'll be in a position to bring you some new dev updates for both projects in the coming weeks. That's quite advanced and we're just waiting on a couple of things for each to get them to the stage where we can show the next batch of features and development work.

Hope that helps to an extent. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks Scott yes I appreciate your update for sure. Looking forward to future updates when you have them. So keen to buy and fly them both!

As another busy week at Just Flight HQ draws to a close, we leave you with a selection of screenshots showing our upcoming F28 Version 2 update which is now in final stages of testing.

These screenshots show the five new liveries that are included with the update, covering a range of civilian and military operators, some of which are still actively flying F28s, private jet operators and popular liveries that have been requested by the community.

One of our most comprehensive upgrades yet, F28 v2 has been in development for close to a year, and brings many of the new features developed for 146 v2 and the RJ to the F28, including a custom UNS-1 FMS, boarding and refuelling logic with full GSX integration, interactive checklists, our latest EFB tablet, five new liveries and an upgraded autopilot.

F28 v2 will also introduce MSFS 2024 compatibility, as shown in these initial screenshots, and will be free-of-charge to existing owners of F28 Professional. We even have an interesting discount in mind to tempt potential new owners!

We'll bring you more information, screenshots and videos in the coming weeks, exploring the many hundreds of changes changes included in the upgrade, ahead of a planned release date of Thursday 13th March.

Looks very tempting @Martyn JF!

Does this include a 530 GPS for those of us who struggle with needles?

Also - is the 146 (which I own) getting this treatment as well (and could you hide a 530 GPS in that too)? 🙂

It includes a fully integrated GNS 430 as an alternative to the UNS FMS, including support for the latest WT GNS 430 v2 in MSFS 2024.

The 146 already received a very extensive v2 upgrade last year but will be receiving more upgrades, as well as MSFS 2024 compatibility, in the next month or so. There are no plans to retrofit a GNS GPS though, as we tend to stick to real world configurations (some real F28s have GPS units like the GNS).

Still one of my favourites and looking forward to seeing the V2 upgrade.  Still get one flying over here where I live in Cairns AU, first time I saw it I went is that a..???.., pulled out flightradar24 and yes it was a F28, still being flown by Air Niugini in Pappa New Guinea which is close to us.  Also have a BAE-146 QT parked when you drive into Cairns here right along the main road and that one still operates as well by Pionair Australia regularly flying over.  A lot of Just Flight enthusiasts here in the tropics, both sim and real life 😄

So would this fit before th 146 flying and

tech wise or before 146(closer to the DC6).

I love the 146 but prefer the RJ.

It predates the 146, but with the new FMS and autopilot upgrades, I'd say that it offers a similar experience and workload to the 146.

Owner of the plane and it's one of my favourites my only issues being the vor /ils behaviour being unrealistic with the wt gns code. Will the UNS version be independent of the gns version? As I doubt this is happening is there separate unique ap logic when the ac is slaved to the uns and not the gns or do they both 'fly' the same way in the sim? I do get this may be a non event as the gns in v1 influences the ap to fly similar to LNAV anyway so nobody will notice!

I'm more interested in the way the cockpit systems integrate with the ap model than to panels and buttons themselves. I've been watching this uns development for a long time with great interest as it should finally give me a realistic autopilot! I'd prefer to have both vor and uns versions available and working realistically but I'm fine with just one of them.

To anyone confused about the vor /nav radio ap behaviour it is documented that inclusion of the wt gns interferes with and takes over traditional radio nav ap behaviour.

A beautiful F27-MK500 was released Freeware last year that came only with vor nav and the developer pointed out in the manual that there was no gns option to retain the accuracy of the ap model. Then... Of course 'everyone' wanted the wt gns in there despite historical and operational inaccuracy so he added it anyway and deleted the manual warning. I tested both versions for some 9 hours to confirm and analyse the differences. Version with gns code vastly inferior and unreliable.

I really hope I don't get slammed for nit picking here. If the JF F28 wasn't such an absolute work of art that I would fly all the time if not for this issue I wouldn't be bringing up this point at all.

I'd pay for this ac a second time just to get the original development version without wt gns included. I own quite a few JF ac and it's all been money well spent.

Looking forward to this v2 very much regardless of ap behaviour!

You'll be pleased to hear that the UNS FMS and autopilot are entirely independent of the WT GNS.
