July 12, 20232 yr Hello guys! I'm swiching the FS2020 from MS store version to Steam version and I want to copy all my control and view profile to the Steam version. After a quick search I realized that the control profile are stored in the cloud for MS store version, so can I export them and import them into the steam? Thank you.
July 13, 20232 yr I think the files are tied to your XBox account, so it shouldn't be a problem. System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

I’m pretty sure everything is attached to your Xbox profile, including things you bought in the marketplace. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

They are 2 different profiles. By moving from store to Steam you lose all your progress and store purchases. I moved soon after the sim was released so I didn't have any store purchases yet, but I've seen people who moved later saying they had to buy all their store addons again. July 14, 20232 yr I stand corrected. I always thought because we use the same Xbox account, marketplace items would be transferable. But maybe Steam has imposed some legal limitations to that. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

When I buy something I'm doing that with my Steam account, but all game related are connected to my X-box account, but I'm not 100% sure. July 14, 20232 yr I have both Store and Steam. I bought from the Store (through X-Box - for PC) early on and suddenly it just went away after several months flying. I found a number for MS and spent four hours being bounced around from one person to another - some of which hardly understood English - all of which verified that I had purchased the program - none of which were able to "fix" the problem. I even got to a Windows 11 person who took over my computer and checked everything and said that there was no problem on my end and that they would get it fixed. After about a month of not having the sim, I bought another copy from Steam. Steam has worked seamlessly. I checked back in about 6 months and the MS Store version was fixed. I now have both copies on separate 2 TB drives (regular drives - no SSD and they run exactly the same as when I had the one on SSD) on the same computer. Items purchased through the Marketplace through Steam are not available on the Store copy and vice versa and the logs have separate counts on them. Which do I prefer? Both have the same stuff (except purchases and hours) but I prefer the Steam method of updates. I hope this answers any questions posed above. August 8, 20232 yr Author Thank you all! I finally did the uninstall for MFS2020 in-store version and installed the Steam version. When I first luanched the Steam version, MFS2020 did ask me to login into the microsoft account, however, the worst thing happened, none of my settings (graphic, joystick profile, aircraft view) were saved, I spent nearly 3 hours setting everything right, which is sucks. My original plan was to delete the MFS2020 store version's client and kept the Sim folder (community), so I was hoping that I could save another 3 hours of download when I launch the Steam version, too bad this did not happen, the steam version did not recognize the original sim folder, I tried to change the sim folder location in the userConfig file, but still did not work. So I had to download the entire sim again. One good news though: since I kept the original sim folder, I just moved some of the sceneries I bought (not from MS store) to the new sim folder, and they worked! So for anyone who is thinking about switching from the store version to the Steam version, I highly suggest taking some pictures of the joystick settings and graphic settings, just in case.
