I’ll happily take a high quality illusion of controlling AI traffic given current sim limitations.

It would be certainly nice though to someday see proper spacing of arrivals to avoid go arounds (or ignoring AI on final as I often do).

Another thing I was thinking about this morning. More than having problems with AI aircraft traffic interfering with my flights which for me  is pretty minimal, immersion breaking  is much more frequently caused   by fork lifts, buses, follow me cars, fuel trucks, fire trucks, etc on taxiways, crossing runways, parking on the runway centerline when I am taking off and landing. etc. My guess is these ATC programs that are supposed to control AI, will have zero affect on this issue.

Yeah those are usually caused by inadequate scenery design, at least that's what I heard, meaning that it's possible to prevent that via the AFCAD.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I can only recommend AIGround and AIFlow on flightsim.to, it will manage spacing between AI aircraft and runway incursions. It *almost* fixes MSFS AI completely or at leats makes it seem so.

Is BATC from Pro-ATC developmenty team? Asking since I've noticed Pro-ATC facebook page is not dedicated to BATC as well

No they are not connected. You most likely will never hear from the developer of Pro ATC. The person that runs the Facebook page decided to add Beyond ATC, because he thinks it is the wave of the future.

I’ll have to give those a try again, I used the earlier versions and ran into some oddities, likely those have been fixed now.  Thanks for the reminder about them.

And you never will either. I used to be a beta tester for them, and I finally got tired of the developer, and left.

Works pretty good for me, increases immersion by a lot, mostly because AI won't do no runway incursions anymore. Some things are band-aid-like, e.g. AI will be put into a hold if it comes to close to you, but it works as far as the reality bubble is concerned. You can even force the AI to land on a specific runway, so no more "oh great MSFS changed active runways again while I'm on short final"

The guy in the video says you need to remove all the dashes, etc, but you don't. You don't need to change anything unless you are not satisfied with one of the default values. Just to make it clear so folks don't think they have to delete all those dashes to make the programs work. You can just open it and it's ready to go.
