July 21, 20232 yr I purchased the Feelthere KLGA and now it is laying on top of the existing stock KLGA that comes with msfs. I know that you can turn off the bespoke airports but not sure how to turn off a non bespoke airport? Just to make sure it wasn't the installation process of FeelThere, I downloaded a KLGA airport from flightsim.to and it did the same think (layered over existing airport) https://www.dropbox.com/s/8r25irl932k27j9/Screenshot 2023-07-21 124945.jpg?dl=0 anyone have this trouble with other airports? thank you so much mb Edited July 21, 20232 yr by mike7440
July 21, 20232 yr Used to happen in P3D all the time. Didn't think it would happen in MSFS. In P3D it had to do with the exclude file or an Orbx CVX vector file. but I don't know enough about how the MSFS file system works to know if that is the case here.
July 21, 20232 yr Hm that should not happen. Community folder airports are by default layered at a higher priority than all default (non-handcrafted) airports. Maybe a navigraph issue? Remove navigraph, start the sim, close the sim, reinstall navigraph navdata, start the sim again. That's all i can think of, since no, you cannot delete a non-handcrafted default airport. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
July 21, 20232 yr I have this issue too, a google search was no help, hard to believe there is no fix or other users complaining about this. July 21, 20232 yr There are exclusion rectangles in the MSFS SDK. They should be encoded into the scenery bgl of any add-on that replaces a default airport. I don't have KLGA--in fact I only have one Feelthere airport (KBNA)--I was underwhelmed by the quality control, so have stayed away from them for the most part. I seem to remember reading somewhere that running in developer mode was having some wonky effects on exclusions...if you're using dev mode, you might try turning it off and see if that helps. July 21, 20232 yr I downloaded some scenery that said to first delete the original msfs2020 scenery by loading msfs and going to your content, do a search for KLGA and delete that result. then install your scenery. Not sure if this will help with KLGA or not?
July 21, 20232 yr Commercial Member Hi, I just want to report that: - I have installed a copy of FeelThere KLGA and doesn’t see any default scenery bleeding through it. 4 hours ago, mike7440 said: anyone have this trouble with other airports?
