Doing a tour of Greece and flying over the Peloponnese overheated hills from Kefallinia to Sparta, I almost got  airsick🤢 with the turbulences worsened by 26 knots gusts 😄 ! Correcting the gyro drift (didn't forget this time), manipulating the STEC at turning points  were... interesting too ! A great feeling to be here, like a cork in a stream.

I am on the 7th leg of a 20 leg VA tour all over the Philippine Islands. So far, pretty smooth sailing, even over the mountains, not too much turbulence.

Which turbulence settings are you using in MSFS? I've tested all three w/ the Comanche and found there's a pretty big difference, but I'm not a pilot IRL and am not really sure which setting is the most in-line w/ what you'd expect IRL.

I use medium in MSFS ,and in the middle on the Comanche Tablet.

Dangerous!  Dangerous!   Watch out for the klephts!   They have been known to take potshots at low flying aircraft.

Thanks. I've kind of settled for the middle ground, as well, but I'm never quite sure what the "right" setting should be.

They recommend setting it to realistic in the sim and a bit to the right in the tablet. That's what I'm using.

Not a pilot either. I use 'realistic' in the sim. I learned from Bob's post above that the tablet has   a turb' setting too. The cursor is in the middle.

The aircraft motion was not over the top, just enough agitated to induce some uneasiness. And using the mouse was a little awkward.

Hmmm, I may have to look closely at possible bullet holes during the next walkaround then 😏...

I love flying in Greece, short and meaningful flights, great vistas, interesting approaches and... archipelagos are good for my weak computer anyway 😁 .

Ah interesting didn't see that. Good to know that A2A itself recommends the sim's realistic turbulence setting, I know there's been some gnashing of teeth around here re: MSFS's turbulence settings and how it's not realistic, but with the SU that brought the 3-level turbulence setting MS/Asobo also improved the turbulence simulation overall. And sounds like A2A's external system is able to read all the turbulence data from the sim so that's good too.

I like this setting because it makes us want to avoid thunderstorms. I got into one just to test and had a rough time. I know someone in this forum who crashed the plane going inside one.

As real as it gets, lol.

I just changed my MSFS to realistic, and while approaching RPVA, I got tossed around a bit passing some hilly terrain, but then I looked at my Avliasoft EFB and I had a gusty crosswind around 25-30 knots on approach at 2500 feet, so pretty realistic. On short final and close the the ground, the air smoothed out, as it does many times in real life, and landing was fine. I am going to leave MSFS turbulence setting at realistic when I fly the Comanche, which is probably going to be all the time.

I just did my first flight ... Im sold .. this thing makes you want to baby it all the way through and the procedures you don't know you actually want to read about so you don't screw it up the next go round. Every stage of flight keeps you on your toes or monitoring something...

I had jumped right into the commercial side of the sim because that is my preferred thing for day to day use but now i can see myself doing some scenic hops and making sure i can do these trips without damaging this plane because ...the damage accrues and sticks and for me it feels like my personal aircraft that actually belongs to me and i am responsible for it.

I just flew Logan, UT to Idaho Falls, ID and had a very bumpy flight. As I descended into my final approach things definitely smoothed out quite a bit.

Because I was curious, I searched online for pilot forums regarding Comanche flight dynamics in turbulence. It seems that many real life pilots find the ride VERY bumpy, indeed. Pretty interesting to see these experiences bear out in the sim.
