BeyondATC: new video with premium voices!

Well I never flew for real in the US, but I can't remember every hearing "looking for" on VATSIM over there... Anyway, yes the nuances and slang would be what really makes this uniquely immersive. Really, you can have the most natural voices in the world, but if they all say the same phrases it's just useless. I'm talking especially about comms with AI traffic.

You don't hear it often here anymore because, well, a lot of clearance is now PDC, so few people are calling for clearances anymore, but yes, it's fairly common to hear in the US. Particularly at towers, there can also be phraseology that's very regionalized or limited to specific towers, so that gives some additional variance.

I'm very curious to know how well it handles VFR traffic. Is there a video of that?

Someone at their discord said vfr is still a wip.

PF3 also won't give you takeoff clearance when an aircraft is on approach for the active runway.

I don't believe that, show me on youtube

No, I don't know what you meant because it's not even releasing this year nor have they said anything about releasing it like you're saying to my knowledge.

We’ll I am glad I clarified it for you then.

Glad I also clarified your erroneous statements about its release 👍

I was more fond of The non premium voices, the premium voices are great for mimicing conversation at a frat party but are a bit too overenthusiastic for ATC use.

PIREPs are cool.  It would be cool if you could request deviations for weather.  That should be easy to implememnt.  Id like to see more on visuals and vectoring.  I'd like to also see some DIRECT TOs.

New Video:

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Don't be lazy, get the free demo version of PF3, and see  for  yourself.

Sorry, the voices sound terrible. And this is premium, for which I would have to pay a monthly subscription?

Beyond atc cant controll Ai traffic so i dont see the point. The real deal by having atc is to fly in a controlled airspace and dont conflict with the Ai all the time.

ATC for flightsim needs to be an inbuilt, AI-based system.

I predict that this is going to create some hype upon release, then sink like a stone to the bottom of the pit where all the other ATC-addons are.

Remember all the hype sourrounding FSHud?

If MSFS 2024 doesn’t have significant improvements in AI traffic and ATC it will be an epic fail in my opinion. It can’t really be called a “flight simulator” if it lacks proper IFR simulation… and ATC that doesn’t crash you into a mountain or other aircraft is a critical component of that. It’s shocking that we’re at SU #13 and neither ATC or AI traffic has really been touched since release.  It seems like the only devs actually working on the sim are the Working Title team. SU13 is all them. I hope the Asobo team is working on these critically neglected elements.

It will now control the traffic directly, every frame at a time. FSTL lead dev has joined their team and brought injecting traffic with him.

Heh, just like they said they would include, while a select number of people glossed over it and kept moaning and complaining that it was completely useless without AI control, already doomed to fail etc.
