July 25, 20232 yr Much as I love the way newer addons in MSFS are getting more and more refined and the bar is getting raised I also love the variety we get. Stevie Triesenberg’s restoration videos have me flying the 140 again, I keep going back to the Tiger Moth and I also have spent time the last few weeks in the Black Square Baron, Staggerwing, Black Square Bonanza, P149 and V Tail Bonanza. It seems it is not in my nature to stick to just one aircraft no matter how good it is.

But it’s not something revolutionary—accusim in its various versions have been around and appreciated. The big difference this time around is it’s been coupled to a sim platform that looks 100x better and runs 10x better than fsx/p3d. yup, the comanche is a winner and so are other models like the black square offerings in the ga segment. Good times for desktop simulations. BIg difference between the Accusim in the Comanche today, and the one in the A2A aircrafts that I had in P3D,, and I had every one of them. Accusim 2 is the new gold standard of GA aircraft, nothing else is even close. .

I believe A2A made so much money with their Comanche release with MSFS, they will probably stick to MSFS in the forseeable future. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

And that's now...it can only get better...A2A (plus other distinguished developers) coupled with MSFS 2024 AND new hardware advancements to me is mind blowing being from an era of wire frames lol.. I love this hobby so much, not sure my wallet does lol...

I had a feeling from the start, that MSFS would take flight simulation to the next level, and advance flight simulation to new heights we haven't seen before. At the end of the day, I just want a flight simulator I can use at home for a reasonable cost, but that is as advanced as possible. I look forward to what MSFS 2024 will bring to flight simulation. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
July 25, 20232 yr I had some time this morning, and I got the A2A Pilots Manual out and read the entire manual. This manual is by far the best documentation I have ever seen in a Flight sim product, in fact it is way better than most manuals that you can find with real aircraft. I can tell that the input information in this manual, was directed by someone that actually owns and has flown this aircraft extensively. The explanations are clear and precise. It is a gem, just like the Comanche. Kudos to A2A for setting another high standard.
July 25, 20232 yr I put this into another 250 thread, but its moribund - try here.😀 Cockpit colors - Is it possible to install the "Retro Green" dashboard/cockpit colors of N6229P, in other 250 liveries, including 3rd party? T45

T45 You should be able to go to aircraft.cfg, scroll down to where the livery with the green panel is described and locate the " panel = xxxxx " line. Copy and paste that line over the panel line in any other livery section where you want to use the green panel. Do make a backup copy of your aircraft.cfg before messing with it just in case. Went into aircraft.cfg, but all liveries have : panel ="" They do differ in the texture line, however, but that is for the exterior? T45

There's a potentially interesting discussion to be had about how much of MSFS there actually is in the Comanche. Edited July 26, 20232 yr by Matchstick

T45 ah ... they do their liveries different to the MSFS standard way then. Why am I not surprised 😄 I am intending to pick up the Comanche shortly - so once I grab it will have a look at what they are doing with the liveries and will post back here if I find an easy workaround to let you swap out different cockpits between liveries.

I put the query into the A2A forum & Michael-A2A came up with this: Got it. Edit texture.cfg of your livery like this:[fltsim]fallback.1=..\texture.a2afallback.2=..\texture.charactersfallback.3=..\texture I'll try it later today. You won't regret purchasing the Comanche. T45
