🤦‍♂️ Yes, this sounds like an add-on for casual users...

Except for people who don’t have £2k rigs and experience suboptimal performance? Or maybe people having to build bad habits to do crosswinds landings? or really the plethora of things they’re fixing ?

This is a strange comment.

The thing is FSLabs need to price it right. Price is the key here.

Myself and many others, I'd assume, will be willing to shell a bit more for a simulation capable of  reliably replicating abnormals such as one engine out,  unreliable airspeed procedures, and many others that are currently impossible in anything that's not the FSL for p3d.

As apart from what? Am I meant to spend every hour of every day, with furrowed brows, pretending I'm flying a real plane? You aren't going to like this, but some of us do it for fun.

All I am saying is that I hope that, after this update, I can still import a SimBrief flight plan and fly the plane from A to B as simply as I can now.

The new engine model for both CFM and IAE is included in Block 2.

Originally Aamir said the new engine model would be for the IAE only, with the CFM's coming at a later date. Nothing in the post has suggested that's changed.

I'm about 68.75% sure that the new engine model is only for the IAE's right now, with no window or date set for the CFM's.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

You're right! I've just checked their Discord and it will indeed be IAE only for now. I was certain "IAE and external engine model" would include the CFMs. There is in fact no public timeframe for the CFM external engine model yet. That's slightly disappointing.

I did find it odd that they announce timeframes for new aircraft and WL models but nothing even mentioned on a timeframe for the CFM new engine model. As I fly mainly Delta and they use the CFM, that is about the only disappointment I see so far.

I wouldn't try to take off with the wrong engine, no telling what could happen. 😉

The Fenix was always trying to be as accurate as possible, systems wise. So if the update brings it closer to being realistic and that is somehow a problem for you, then you certainly bought into the wrong product. You have other options, use those instead.

It genuinely doesn’t matter what you do with the Fenix. The fenix team has their own goals for the aircraft, any drawbacks or benefits from those choices are going to happen regardless of how you use the plane.

You aren’t going to like this but, some devs also like making realistic planes for fun.

The thing is Fenix does just this and everything you mentioned will be fixed in V2

Just got the Fenix out of the hangar, after a couple of weeks with the Comanche. Flying A Pilots Life graded flight, so have to concentrate, .got to get ready for the update next week. Can't wait. \

I finally got the landings sorted out, hope the update doesn't screw it up. 🙂
