Flying tips on the Fenix V2

I would tend to agree, but I have to wonder whenever I see someone like this with an aggressively monetized channel.

My perspective: I'm a 73 captain at a US major airline.  I like to geek out with sims, and I do some streaming on Twitch for the social aspect/fun of it.  I never saw any point in monetizing the channel even though people keep asking me to, because, well, I don't want to sound like a jerk, but the reality is that there is no amount of money any content creator is making off sim content that even comes close to being meaningful to me, compared to what the day job pays.  (I've set up charity donations for folks who want to show some financial support and we've raised an amount that is definitely meaningful for these charities so I'm deeply grateful for that support.)

But you see my point: either European pilots are getting paid in a way that doesn't even compare to us over here and they need to earn some change with a YouTube channel... Or there's another reason to promote a channel so hard.  🤷‍♂️

I am pretty sure that the money that he gets from Youtube, wouldn't even cover a $100 hamburger flight once a year,

Wondering if anyone here can help me. I am having problems with my tiller control. I can't calibrate it. I have updated to the v2 and after that my control binding for the tiller is turned a little to the left and won't center when my control is centered. I am using the saitek x65 throttle controller with the turning knob as my tiller. Thanks for the advise and help.

Has nothing to do with hate. He decided to change his style of videos to aggressively attack developers trying to improve the community, all of his latest videos shifted from informative and entertaining to gossip. Unfortunately his true colors popped out and his knowledge is far below his ego. As a professional pilot, it’s important to not fall into the traps created by ego. He lacks this entirely. This isn’t hate, this is accountability and he’s been lacking that since the channel got to his head and the “label” of PMDG Tech Team. And yes, I also provide technical information for developers and am a real world airline pilot as well. It’s important to recognize and accept your mistakes, also to make sure pride never comes first.

Every is a critic I suppose. I watch his videos regularly and I don’t see any of the things you describe here. Frankly, I’m grateful for the content he creates.

I'm pretty certain you're right.  That's what I meant: what's the reason to try so hard to promote a channel, by playing all the games with clickbaity titles and manufactured drama etc, if not for money?  But it's obviously not money... So what other reason might there be?

Don't get me wrong, from what I've seen he has some good content and I'm sure he's a nice guy.  I just always have to wonder about motivation when I see airline guys hardcore promoting these kinds of channels.  It's never going to be about the money, not for the niche that is flight sim content (or flight content in general).  So, why play the algorithm game for the views, likes and clicks? An ego stroke is one possibility, anyway.

Well he was a FO at Ryanair, so he was lucky to earn 1/10th of what you earn.

I'm pretty clueless about airline working conditions elsewhere; I assumed there was general parity, but just did some reading.  Ah.  If some of what I've read is true, we've got folks here flying turboprops that are doing better.  So I retract my earlier statement.  It was based on the assumption that there wouldn't be a point to try and make a channel profitable.  Looks like I might have been wrong about that.
