Acceleration - where is my ocean???

Recommended Posts

Guest bjablonka

This morning I took off from Santa Barbara and to my surprise our nice ocean has been replaced by desert and trees. Same taking off from LAX. I'd like to get my ocean back - does anyone have an idea?

Bjablonka,Yes ... the key question is are you running a pristine FSX environment, or have you added on third-party software which may be giving you poor results?

I am running Xgraphics from HiFi as well as their sky program. Have all the latest updates, but it does not make a difference.

Besides the program I mentioned above, I have like everyone else some add-on aircraft. It must have to do with the ASX. I will uninstall it and see if it makes a difference.

I don't have acceleration yet but this happened to me running ASX, and X-Graphics over a clean install of FSX with no SP1 patch.

ASX (XGraphic) is an add on scenery. I am uninstalling it right now to see if it makes a difference.

I had that happen once before but it has been so long I forgot why. At any rate, if you go into the scenic library and then just hit ok, it should reset your scenery file no?

Scott, I just tried this, but still the same. Thanks for your idea!

I had the same problem. I solved it (I think this is what did it, that is - afterwards it worked fine) by closing FSX, opening X Graphics (the program that goes with active sky) and selecting a different theme and installing it. After restarting FSX, everything was back to normal. Hopefully it will work for you, too.

Well, I uninstalled Acceleration and my oceans are back. I reinstalled Acceleration and my oceans are gone again. Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated?

Jim,I don't know what that means. I validated the x graphics files and no error came up. I don't know how to submit new textures. Could you please help?
