MSFS 1.33.8.0 update just now?

Recommended Posts

I'm in the Beta, and after this update my logbook hours reset to zero, but more annoyingly the toolbar menu doesn't work anymore - It's simply vanished. Anyone else seeing that?

Okay so am I safe or not? I am not a beta tester, nor did I ever sign up for the beta program, but upon launching the sim a few days ago, it updated me to 1.33.8.0.

I have the MS Store version of MSFS 2020.

1.33.8.0 is not the beta.

This was posted on the MSFS forum earlier today:

Hi folks,

We are currently investigating an issue affecting PC/MS Store users where beta participants were inadvertently reverted to build 1.33.8.0. If you are enrolled in the SU13 beta and own Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC/MS Store, we recommend you do not launch the sim at this time as you will be prompted to re-download a significant amount of content. We will provide an update when we have more information.

Note: Xbox and Steam users are not affected by this issue.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

MSFS Team

This issue is now resolved.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

I am getting stunning performance .  Wry fluid. Don’t know if it’s the 7950x3d and 3080ti.

or the latest msfs  update and latest driver update .

but 🤩.

ifit’s the driver I won’t be updating at all if it is.😊

Just need to fix the washed out look that bugs me.

iv e tried everything with user.cfg tweaks .

to   Nvidia shaders.

and nothing.

Hello Mike.  Are you on 537.13?  If so, then yes I am finding it good in combination with the latest beta from last night.

With the washed out look, I have struggled with that as well.  I might try applying some Nvidia Experience filters, as the sliders can be adjusted on the fly, so you can see instant results.
Improving contrast should work, but there are also some other nice settings to play with.

There are two things you can experiment with to change things a little.  Gamma correction in Nvidia control panel, and colour correction in the User Config file.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio!

Intel 13900K in a ROG Strix Z690 motherboard with water cooling, Asus RTX 4080, 32 GB 3600 DDR4 RAM, 3 x Samsung 1 TB NVME M.2, with MSFS on a Samsung 980 pro.
