What happens?

Today I opened my PSXT_Traffic ver.2.7.0 and it told me to reinstall to 2.6.0. I reinstalled and used once with no problems. I installed a new Justsim scenario and reopening PSXT_Traffic 2.6.0 again I get the message to go back to 2.5.0 which is not on the site.
What happens? Thank you

There was an error with both v.2.6.0 and v.2.7.0.

If you can wait another 2 hours or so, Nico should have a fix and a new version ready.

I switched from the old PSXT Client-Server version to this new version a few days ago and, despite having read the manual, I'm still trying to understand how it works. I thought it was a virus.

In the Manual page 25, error codes, you could have read what it meant.  It was certainly not a virus 😉

2.7.1 crashes for me with no warning, no error in the log and no error in event viewer.

2.71 I get no static aircraft on arrival. Did a flight KBDL-KTPA learn destination is checked.  ILO is unchecked. When I arrived on 3 live parked AC on 0 static. Vetricalsim qf is 55. My log shows most as no livery match found:

In what phase of the flight?

Start again and see if this was incidental or consistent, pls.

The Type field is encrypted ... that's probably why a lot of matches could not be made. Are you using a file from airports\updated? If so, it looks like the file is corrupt; you better delete that file from updated and start again.

Btw: In my opinion this has nothing to do with 2.7.1

I had just loaded into a flight at the gate at Dominic Designs KAUS and was in external view watching aircraft movements when all aircraft disappeared. I checked and PSXTraffic had quit...and then wouldn't launch again. I'll try again and report back.

I found the problem - PSXTraffic was unable to find the FLIGHTPLANS directory. How I ended up with this issue is a long story but it involved reinstalling MSFS and I didn't recreate the junction to the LocalState (FLIGHTPLANS) directory. Once I did that the crash problem went away. Error as reported in the PSXTraffic log:

Error directory_iterator::directory_iterator: The system cannot find the path specified.: "E:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-2798140993-778685438-1837869802-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState"

Ok will do thanks. I know I moved a lot of files from the old PSX_MSFS folders into there because I thought that was something we could do. I will try deleting those files in the updated folder. thanks

You can still do that, because all the old files are unencrypted.

When Learning was introduced in PSXTraffic there was a bug that corrupted the old files. That should no longer happen though.
