instal problems

Hi Keik, 

 

I had to reinstall all of my FS2020 stuff including your software and now it doesnt want to talk to Real Traffic. I am not seeing any aircraft on the ground or active traffic in your app. any ideas as to what could be going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you follow the Quick install guide and chapter 1 of the Manual?

Post your Log.txt pls.

Well, the Log.txt is quite clear.  See all these messages about aircraft that could not be created in MSFS?!

If you had let PSXT a little longer it would have stopped with error 81.

You forgot to activate your AI aircraft in MSFS....or did not install them correctly.

Btw: you did not post your complete Log.txt, I don't see the result of the scan for Liveries..

i am pretty sure that I have activated the AI aircraft option in FS2020 if not can you show me where to look. Also i have the two vertical bars in your app showing green but your app isnt tinking  to Realtraffic I see the live option coloured in yellow and 0 active aircraft.being displayed.

Please believe me, there is nothing wrong with PSXTrafic and RT. The problem is that PSXTraffic asks MSFS to create an aircraft in MSFS, but MSFS does not recognize the title of the aircraft.... So make sure your aircraft are in the Community folder, or if you use the AddonLinker, to link the aircraft to the community folder.

It is caused by your re-install of MSFS. You're not finished.

You should disable aircraft traffic (AI traffic) in the traffic option in MSFS. The whole point of PSXT/RealTraffic is improvement over the poor implementation of AI aircraft in MSFS. You need to get your aircraft liveries (AIG, FSLTL, etc.) in MSFS, either by installing them in the community folder, or linking them to the community folder with Addon Linker. Here's what's happening with your setup:

1.) Waiting for MSFS ...
MSFS (11.0.282174.999) connected - PSXT has connected to MSFS

2.) Waiting for RealTraffic to connect to PSXTraffic ...
RealTraffic connected
    QNH Reader connected
    Traffic Reader connected - PSXT has connected to RealTraffic

At this point PSXT is ready to start asking MSFS to create aircraft in the sim, HOWEVER...

3.) EX:. ep3     : N971FD_   FDX B752 =4= FSLTL_FAIB_B763_FDX-FedEx
N971FD_ "FSLTL_FAIB_B763_FDX-FedEx" could not be created by your Sim! - This means PSXT is asking MSFS to place this aircraft in the sim, but MSFS can't find the aircraft/livery - it's NOT in the community folder

 

 YOU MUST have your aircraft liveries in the community folder or you will NOT get traffic in MSFS from PSXT.

Please launch MSFS, go to "options", "general options", "developer" and turn developer mode on. At the top of the screen you'll see the developer tabs - click on the "tools" tab, click on "virtual file system", click on "packages folders", click on "open community folder" - copy the FULL path of community folder from the address bar (should look something like this: E:\MSFS\Packages\Community). Post that path in this thread and we'll take a look.

I have done all of that.. now i see there is no link between RealTraffic and PSX.. in otherwords they dont seem to be talking to one another.

In your OP that link was present, see your Log.txt. 

So you are saying you have a new problem?

EDIT: and by the way I see you have files in your TO_BE_LEARNED_OFFLINE folder, pls send them to me.
