It didnt take long to get stuck 🙂
"Configure the FIP named “StreamDeck 0” as DesktopFIP or WebFIP in AAO."

Not sure how to do that part....where do I see the FIPs that should include streamdeck to configure it?
.for info , I already use the FS2020 AAO InGame Panel so I assume im set up correctly for that..

The aim is to use this both in FS2020 and Xplane 12 if possible... I assume in XP12 we dont have an ingame  panel like FS2020 ?

Check the AxisAndOhs manual, chapters about Desktop FIPs and Web FIPs abouot how this works. You copied the assets to the proper folders earlier, right?

There is no XPlane version of AxisAndOhs. Althoug there is a prototype, there is no ingame panel, you are right about that. So this will not work either way in XP. You would have to figure out some other way, for example displaying it as a Desktop FIP and then somehow displaying that app window in VR (TMBK there are tools that can do that?)

Yes I did read those..I just dont see where "the FIP named “StreamDeck 0” shows up anywhere to configure it as WebFIP or Desktop FIP
and all assets are copied correctly as far as I can see..
The streamdeck plugin itself DOES work... the connection test button turns green...so thats all good, and I tried a profile for an aircraft which all works well..
Re XP12..yes I thought as much... no worries a great app called OpenKneeboard can display apps and webpages in VR ...

When installed correctly, it just appears in the list of the available WebFIPs, as described in the manual. Those aren't hard coded anywhere, they are "user content" that is read "live" from the folders where you copied them.

1. Gauges->Web FIPs
2. press "+" on the dialog
3. Select the "Stream Deck 0" FIP from the dropdown list.
4. Doubleclick on the IP address at the top to view it in your browser to check that it is working.

There are certain conditions that have to be met for this to work.

- The most important one is, that there has to be at least on AAO action present on the StreamDeck profile, or you won't see anything.

- Then the image files have to be generated with the editor

- Finally, you have to turn on the data transfer on the StreamDeck, either with the special action from the Lorby plugin ("Stream graphics to AAO FIP") or manually in the config files (see the doc that comes with the Streaming package)

Is all this complicated and convoluted? No doubt. I don't see any other way though. I always have to make sure that users can turn OFF performance intensive features like this one.

Question  Having setup the streamdeck stuff , How do I STOP the desktop fips and webfips loading at start of FS2020?.. if I untick them they dissapear but come back on next load ..I dont need them all the time and would be good to be able to not have them load if possible.

Thanks. !

Exactly that..unticked desktop fips and webfips under gauges menu... but when I restart AAO they are ticked again and the gauges are loaded...
well blow me down..ive just repeated exactly that and they now are not ticked and Dont Load ....weird ! no idea why they were not doing that before !
