Staying straight on RW

Whenever I take off (or land) in any kind of wind situation, the aircraft strays off course on the runway. This is particularly common in smaller planes but also but larger jets.I understand why this happens perfectly well. I can do most slipping, or crab approaches quite good. But once on the runway, I'm like a drunk driver. It makes me think that this can't really be the way to take off in a real plane? That would be a major risk factor, particularly in larger passenger jets.I haven't been able to figure out a way of coping with it. What do you do to keep it straight on the RW and not having to fight and prevent an up-close study of mother nature?As a sidenote: I flew (as a passenger) a few weeks ago and at his take-off run I noticed the plane was twitching back and forth on the RW somewhat violently before easing up into the air (a 737). I remember this since before too, it seems to happen most of the time. Might this be related to my question above?Thank you, for any comments or adviceTom

I believe the lack of traction in FS is alot less then it is when flying a real airplane. The only time I have experienced something similar is when practicing soft field on a wet asphault runway. That usually makes me slide around the most.
