If my 6GB GTX 980Ti could not handle high levels of detail @ 1080p in DX11 mode, then I have a problem if I want to switch simulators. In dx11 at 1080p you'll be fine. The main issue is dx12. It's totally unoptimized and is in beta for msfs. People generally run dx12 when using a RTX40XX because of the benefits of frame generation. Unfortunately the vram usage is very high in dx12. Once your vram is used up the CPU starts to take the load and just can't keep up | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

By the way, speaking for full 4k 3840x2160 px .. But shure MSFS DX12 is a shame, can not understand why this is still a problem with MSFS to be on DX12, a bit of unbelivibel in my opinion ! cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.

Yet the largest B class airport in the northern half of the US, Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport - literally nothing, and I mean nothing. Just too much at the time for me for a video card. Yes I agree the card probably would have been worth it but that's now imo. The 4080 is still very powerful but imo if I'm having issues with 16GB vram, the issue is not on my end...it's a DX12/Asobo/ini issue. Their stuff looks nice no doubt...but it's just textures galore and it quickly fills up vram. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
October 21, 20232 yr Ditto…in retrospect I wish I had been more patient and waited for 4090’s to be more available rather than buying a 4080. However, that doesn’t change the fact that 16gb of VRAM should be plenty… Just to be clear though, I haven’t had any issues with this scenery, performance was great during my 737 departure today. October 21, 20232 yr Oh, the aircraft fire trainer doesn't exist in the iniBuilds version. Do you remember the one in the Orbx scenery? 😉 Edited October 21, 20232 yr by vbazillio Vincent B. Check my free MSFS sceneries : https://flightsim.to/profile/vbazillio/trending and my hardware configuration.

Very smooth though, no stutters like LAX or JFK and about 80fps with frame generation on. October 21, 20232 yr I think it looks fantastic and seems to be very well done overall. Palm Springs is a beautiful airport to fly into and a nice short hop from Las Vegas, San Diego, or even Salt Lake City. I have no issues with the performance although I am running a 4090 card.

If using anything other than a 4090, stick with DX11 and it will be fine. Any iniBuilds scenery with DX12 and a 4080 or less will stutter bad due to VRAM exhaustion. I'm on a 4080 and went back to DX11. Even Frame Gen ain't worth DX12's issues. Eric

October 22, 20232 yr Just did a flight with the PMDG 800 from KLAS, to KPSP, and inibuilds did something right!! With my settings, on ULTRA and HIGH, fling into runway 31L and parking at Gate 8, product was completely butter smooth, not a stutter anywhere. I guess inibuilds finally learned their lesson, make sure the product is optimized before releasing it My recommendation is definitely go get it! and on sale for just $9.99. Plus the senery is outstanding gorgeous. 10700kf, 3080 nividia, 32gbs 3400mhz, 1,000 watts power, M.2 DVMe !tb, boot, 1tb 7200rpm, storage, windows 10 home
