October 22, 20232 yr I'm a little confounded by both the user base, and PMDG. As they sit right now, the airplanes are fantastic. I have no serious complaints with them. All I really need out of the efb is the ability to view the OFP, do performance calculations, and see charts. Those are the only things I can't do in the current versions of the 737 without using a web browser or standalone app on my second monitor. If they give us those three functions I can do everything inside the airplane and I'll be perfectly happy. As to the user base. Expectations are all over the map. I fully understand why PMDG isn't going to be able to please everyone. Not an enviable position to be in. It seems that some people feel like complaining loudly and forcefully comes with a badge of honor. I often find myself shaking my head in disbelief over some of the things people will say about an add-on or a game, and the people that work on them. I wonder how people can behave like that in public without being embarrassed. Someone mentioned it before, how a message is conveyed is extremely important as to how it is received. If people would just lighten up a little bit and tone it down some, it would be a better community for all of us. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
October 22, 20232 yr Commercial Member Afaik, for the 777 this tablet based solution represents the smaller portion of the world wide fleet. At least for the long range PMDG aircraft, I'd prefer the original integrated Boeing EFB.

The one we had in the 737 in P3D was fine. All they needed to do was port that one over and I would have been satisfied. It did what I needed it to do. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
October 22, 20232 yr Not me. I don’t like the integrated Boeing one at all. Not being able to do the ground support, options, etc. on initlal release is just... wow. He says it's coming but... you know. This and the added notes below show just how much they have fallen behind when compared to even freeware groups like Horizon, FBW and Headwind. Sadly, they really are nowhere near top tier anymore when it comes to innovation and product releases. Still waiting for the ARINC update to the navigation data and Lord knows when that will come and remind how many years ago that was announced? Those hoping for "additional features" in this tablet, don't hold your breath. "Additional Notes: A number of folks have asked "will it be available on an external device?" This is indeed in the original design workflow, but it fits into an area of capability we have not worked with previously- so I cannot give you any timing expectations, as we haven't really evaluated that aspect of the tech implementation yet". October 22, 20232 yr I think we all get the message now. Some are happy, and some are not. Please can we get back to flying, and the enjoyment it brings. You can use the normal radio, it changes in VATSIM accordingly For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
October 22, 20232 yr As long as it loads the FPL for me... That's the only thing i require from it really. I might switch to its performance calculator if it's better than the one i use, but all the rest is just redundant. Hope it will be useful for others. October 22, 20232 yr I only have one screen, so an in-sim performance calculator is more convenient for me. Edited October 22, 20232 yr by Tuskin38

October 22, 20232 yr Hate to say this, but am I the only one in the world who's not that bothered about the EFB? There's a plethora of options available in the CDU and with Navigraph synced on my Ipad, what am I missing?
