October 29, 20232 yr Good morning. Sorry boring you with this. Since the last five days I haven't been able to connect to X-Plane server. Neither can I update neither after removing completely the program from my PC( don't worry I made a safe copy on an external driver!) I can install a fresh copy. I have downloaded 5 times the installer.exe and nothing goes on. Immediately I get a window dark grey asking if I want to cancel installation in progress? An error occurred during installation: unable to open a zip file. It may be missing or damaged. I click on Continue installation and I can click hundred times nothing goes on. I have been in touch with a technician from the X-Plane server. They even tested my internet connection in Asia. All is well! Why, even a fresh new copy I can't access it and download it as in the past??? X-Plane 11 and MSFS 2020 are working very well and I can make updates normally. Only now, X-Plane 12 gives me this problem.(updating or installing a fresh copy) Any suggestions please? Thank you very much Jan Paul Reuland

Thank you very much Jan Paul Reuland Dont know what ver you are on, but there have being no updates for 3 weeks. A copy of your install log might help, i think its on your desktop.. Do you use a VPN??, AV not blocking it??
October 29, 20232 yr Author Good evening Thank you for your attention and suggestion I always checked once a week for updates running the installer program Never failed neither for X-Plane 11, neither X-Plane 12 neither MSFS 2020, Navigraph, LNP and more...:-) The install log file is very large.I don't use VPN, never used any on my PC exclusively for Flight Simulators. No AV. Only Microsoft Defender updated once a day 🙂 I will wait until a new update comes and see. But what is also weird is that removing X-Plane from my PC and trying to download the trial version, I can't access the server!! I am not going to install Windows completely since the X-Plane 11 and 12 versions are running very smoothly. Regards JP
November 2, 20232 yr Author Good morning An update about my problem. After many hours searching, I found a program on line from Microsoft to scan the PC for errors on the OS 10. Voilà here was the trouble! It works back again now. Thank you all for trying to help. Regards JP Reuland

November 11, 20232 yr Author Turbomax sorry I can't find it anymore. I know that rather to make a full fresh install of windows 10, it made a total review of my install on my PC. It tooks total 2-3 hours but I had to re install some programs afterwards. JP Reuland
November 12, 20232 yr I had this problem not too long ago. My problem was the osd feature was somehow turned on in gpu tweak 3. Took me six months to figure out that was the problem.
