November 9, 20232 yr Su14 beta + recent Nordics WU has made me sitting at the computer with a stupid grin on my face. For me, this is a monumental homerun simply ridiculous visuals on my 4K screen. Almost not worth it to fly real GA if this development continues to unfold. (Flying DA40 realism mod right now) Very impressed. EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12

Even airline captains often own or lease a hobby plane.. a Stearman, a Beaver, or a Husky for flying on weekends.. MSFS has much to offer in that regard.. 😉 I will need to do a bit of flying to learn certain systems before I am allowed anywhere near a beta test! Bearing that in mind, I could end up being instantly hooked. November 9, 20232 yr Everywhere I guess ! 👍😃 If you takeoff from ENHD(my local airport) *Mr Kjetil Garpestad* has made some freeware improvements to both ENHD and ENBR!! 😃😃👍👍 you can go down to Stavanger(ENZV) you can head inwards *the fjord of Ryfylke* here you will find Kjerag and *the steep cliff mountain* Preikestol(recently famous from Tom Cruise Mission- impossible series stunts) Or if you head upwards(ENSO) and ENBR there is tons of fjords(Geiranger Fjord in Sogn og Fjordane and mountains all the way up to Alesund(ENAL) also Molde and Kristiansund, after that you have *spectacular mountains* Lofoten(again Mr Garpestad improved) Trondheim(ENVA) and into northern Norway ,Bodø(ENBO)/Tromsø 😃 Basicly you can not go wrong *flying in Norway* for a quite a while, I might have gotten incorrect numbering of the places/cities though 😳😳 please excuse that.. But we are *one of the longest countries* in the world 😅 all the coast-line of Norway deserves *a look* and fly around!! 😃 Hope that gives you an idea! Absolutely check out Faeroys also and iceland and Greenland, last time I fleew I planned a route from ENHD- Aberdeen Dyce then to Faeroys and over to iceland and into Greenland and crossing icy waters into Canada/USA/Alaska, my trip ended on my way to Iceland..... **when I ran out of time**.. 😳😳 been "quite a few months* 😳😲 since I flew my CJ-4 😄 up there.. to Faeroys islands(sorry for butchering the name... ) Vagaer ? Airport.. Edited November 9, 20232 yr by Rune-ENHD Faeroys ?
November 9, 20232 yr Or get the freeware CYCD Nanaimo airport and fly out of my home base... you get the point.. 🙂 Bert
November 9, 20232 yr Btw I want to THANK all those persons/teams who do Testing on their own spare time, who dive in and... *take one for the Team* with the Alpha/Beta testing!! you do! 🤩😃👍🫡🫡 It is highly appreciated! THANKS!!!

November 10, 20232 yr 10 hours ago, David Mills said: The first big improvement I noticed in the SU14 beta was the superior implementation of DX12. Before SU14, I always ran MSFS in DX11 because DX12 gave me graphics anomalies and stutters. I was very pleased with the sim in DX11. I'd always locked my fps at 60. But I couldn't employ Frame Generation on my graphics card in DX11. With SU14, however, the sim runs perfectly in DX12 on my system, and I can enable Frame Generation as well. MSFS now runs perfectly smoothly even under the most-demanding scenarios: Everything on 4K Ultra, highly complex airports, payware aircraft, thick cloud cover, etc. The SU14 beta provides the best performance I've ever experienced in my 40 years of flight simming. There's nothing else remotely close. Additionally, the already-gorgeous world scenery now looks even more realistic in SU14. I believe there was a modest change in the color palette. As someone else said, I can't quite put my finger on it, but everything just looks better. Asobo has stated that MS2024 will bring up to a 400% performance increase for many users through better utilization of multi-core programming. This additional performance boost will be jaw-dropping. Even now, I can run MSFS at 4K Ultra and drag a window from YouTube TV onto the cockpit panel without missing a beat -- definitely against FAA regs. 🙂 What GPU you running and TLOD setting? Eric

What part of SU14 (together with WU15) supports this statement? Curious as I am not in the beta and I like anticipation 😉 Sure. Mostly it boils down to the new satellite coverage for sweden + detailed cities and increased DEM to 2meters together with the adjusted atmosphere color values in SU14. It's just coming together so bloody nicely. EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12
