I much prefer v1 and blackbox 711, however I do enjoy 737NG drivers videos. If his content offends, then perhaps it time to work on one’s emotional fitness.

Yes  he  is  actually  a real  world pilot, used  to  fly  737   and  now switched  over  to the  a320  family  of  aircraft

I wasn't commenting on the veracity of the claims of the author, just that he (Emanuel) decided to make an entire video on high school drama. It was overly dramatic and unwarranted.

Complain about attention seeking and proceed to turn loads of mostly unrelated threads into a study of the man's character and motives. He's certainly successful in what people think he's doing.

Imho they catched the ambiance and the modelling in the cockpit very well. At least visually, they do not appear to have taken shortcuts the product does not seem to be cheap.

Criticism of this YouTuber makes no sense at all. I prefer a thousand times someone like him who says the good and bad of addons that far exceed the price of a simulator, than others who see everything perfect and beautiful.

Thanks to Emanuel I have been able to know the goodness and realities of other products like Tolis.

As for this MD11 I have already commented, I love this plane in real life but I will not buy anything from a company that uses the worst marketing of the video game world, offering exclusive features only to a few with absurd presales.

Yeah and Swiss001 has over 700,000 followers but flies A380's out of Lukla Nepal on Youtube. This dude is a "RWP" but never showed a single video of his "Real World" flying experience. Youtube is just a $$$ grab there are a lot of content creators feasting on MSFS videos these days.

His family are very wealthy people...they vacation in Princess Juliana/ St Barts every year where he obtained his PPL.

His Youtube success was a given...you all do realize the game is rigged and has been rigged for a very long time?

Who can't tell bot canned entry comment from a real one in 2023? Most of the bigger Youtuber's comment sections are filled to the brim with over enthusiastic bots.😂

Tons of already wealthy content creators pay for view/comment bot services, you can actually buy already established monetized Youtube accounts and just throw your content niche on them.

I had no idea Avsimmers actually followed some of these channels and based potential purchase decisions off of them.

737NG actually makes another stream of income selling flight sim tutorial courses/guide/tip guides on Patreon.

Folks are actually buying what he's selling too🤣

Everything involving PC simming/gaming is being hustled and monetized in some sort of way folks ...🤪

I have no doubt this will be a very polished aircraft in due time.  The last few pages on this thread have lost the fact that this is an early beta and TFDI have made that very clear when collectors edition was sold and eventually now released.   To have so many criticisms right now, is not fair to developers who are putting in a real concerted effort to make this a really systems heavy aircraft.  Have to defend my favorite aircraft of all time.  When its released and after a few updates, then its fair to criticize.

According to his Patreon which only has 4 posts which only offers support my channel and download pictures/thumbnails from videos. Last updated in 2022. More fool them really. Plenty of real word pilots out offering and showing for free only link that he has for his Patreon no mention of tutorials. To be honest does not even mention it on his Youtube videos anymore. The videos he puts for memerships first then everyone else gets to see them.

You clearly tolerate a much higher risk to unfinished software than I do and that’s fine, it’s a free market after all.

However, the thing is, fans of the MD-11 and/or TFDi who bought this at such an early stage are likely to defend no matter what. Therefore, they're much less likely to show objectivity.
My view is that as soon as a product is available to paying users, it is open to critique.

I don’t like the trend of developers like FSS and TFDi offering this advance purchase model for products that are missing key elements. Quality developers would call this unready for release.
You could argue TFDi has a respectable track record, but then, so did Captain Sim at one time. Developers in a team come and go, especially those contracted in.

It does look a long way short of even what others developers have previously called 'early access'.

At least in FSS' case, they are currently giving buyers a substantial discount to the final retail price. Paying $10 more for this than the PMDG 737-800 and for only an eventual $5 discount over later buyers feels extremely punchy.

my 8 year-old son and his best friends all follow Swiss001...and they watch his shorts all day long... They play MSFS in their xbox all connected and follow what Swiss001 has taught them.

It is a complete different market.
