so u mean to tell me I bought the MD=11 yesterday 11/13, spent $80.00, and I can't get it until 60 days??????  What is the benefit I get if I have to wait  for 60 days? That is real BS if I have to wait!!!

Actually, it’s 60 days at the earliest.  It could be much, much longer depending on when the developers decide to release it.  Caveat emptor.

How could you have purchased the MD-11 yesterday and not know that it is not available yet? It is posted all over their product page that it will not be released until sometime in 2024, and that buying it now is a “pre order”.

You have to acknowledge that fact to complete the purchase.

I understand that I am pre-purchasing a product that will not be available for download until early-2024”

You might have just saved a few bucks by purchasing it early but who knows as they could just as easily raise the price a bit upon final release date, something you would not worry about. I would be more upset if the product is nowhere the level of PMDG or Leonardo though (at the price point) when it is finally made public and the way time flies 60 or even more days will pass by so fast. %75.25 completed now (per product page) and they are looking at less than 60 days?, they still have some work to do and some missed Holiday time if that is truly their goal. I don't know.

Edit: also note they have to complete this for P3D too in a somewhat timely fashion upon MSFS release.

Noticed a new update was posted yesterday.  They also have a new installer that pretty much automates the update process.

Downloading now but its taking its time.  Will likely test it out briefly tomorrow morning (currently 10:45pm PST).

Honestly I loaded it up the next day and quickly realized that major issues I have been having were still there and not fixed so I shut it down and have not tried it since.  I did notice a bit more bling in the cockpit but I am still getting an elevator warning and the rudder randomly does what it wants.  Also nose wheel steering is bizarre with out the ability to center which creates problems.  This could all be related to my basic setup but hopefully its addressed in the future.  I still use an old school CH Flightstick Pro USB and the keyboard for a lot of things.  I would like to invest in an elaborate setup but I won't get WAF approval and my daughter would object.

For now I have shelved it and will try again in an update or 2.

Hello,

Any news about the MD-11? Seems they are very quiet right now, at least here or on their facebook page.

Nope.

They have a page which tracks their status progress: https://md11.tfdidesign.com/status/

Just check that page every month, to see what was completed. You can see the last updates were made on January 18th.

Do we have any indications of when we *do* think this will release? Are the pre-order folks able to share their thoughts or is there an embargo?

I feel like I haven’t heard much about this project since the prerelease earlier this year.
