November 11, 20232 yr HSF team, members of whom have worked on the Rotorsim EC135 and excellent EC130 have a new helo out and this time it's a Freeware SA316B Alouette IIII (for XP12 only) I'm really liking it - it's not as hard-core as the payware SA315B Lama but that's no bad thing, instead what you have is a simple, fun and relatively easy to fly utility turbine helicopter that looks good overall, comes with a whole heap of options and best of all doesn't cost a penny. I highly recommend giving it a try (and this is just the first release who know how much better it can get 🙂 ) https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/88663-hsf-alouette-iii-xp12 Edited November 11, 20232 yr by Matchstick
November 11, 20232 yr Thank you !!! Precious !!! Have the Best Memories of the PAF Alouette III USED as a SAR unit during the Summer time in the Portuguese beaches as well as in "Rotores de Portugal" heli flight demonstration team: Rotores de Portugal - Wikipedia Looking fwd to try it in 12.08b1 Edited November 11, 20232 yr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
November 28, 20232 yr Having tried it a few days ago, I enjoyed it overall, but just as with most rotaries in XP, I find that in order to fly "coordinated" = ball centered, across a considerable spectrum of speeds, I am actually flying sideways in a pronnounced sideslip ??? I have never flown a real heli other than an H300 during a short ride, more than 30 yrs ago 🙂 Hey @MSparks! Please comment! If you are flying with any kind of x-wind then sideslip when the ball is centred is to be expected. Do you know what the weather conditions were that you were flying in ?
