the attitude back then was: if you need those electronic gimmicks, you shouldn't be flying in the first place. I disagree, I think they belong in any GA airplane. when your life is at stake, what's another $ 400 ? would have saved many pilot lifes.

I agree.  I think about pilots who get lost all the time in low visibility.  They could have often been saved by a ForeFlight type of app or higher quality map integrated Garmin.

these are among the simplest questions in your first written exam for your PPL. but since you fly the 747, you know all that already.

I never cared for the 747 nor have I ever claimed to be a pilot.

You can just imagine Martial or one of the other devs at Asobo saying: "What are they complaining about now? 16 comes before 34. Alors, what is the problème? The players of The Crew 2 were never this difficult to deal with."

Given how busy most of the team are on the new sim, I don't see a fix for 2020 until they have the code designed in MSFS2024 and back port it to the current sim.

I find it's one of those issues that if I can ignore, I should. Otherwise it joins the plethora of other issues and detracts from my overall enjoyment of a decent flight sim experience.

that's the difference between real pilots and sim-pilots. simpilots like to play with FMC and demand proper turboprop simulation, tons of circuit breakers, ITT and N1% down to the last percent and what have you. proper taxi and runway signs are boring, though taking off from the wrong runway can be and has been deadly. taxiing as a GA pilot can get very confusing without todays advanced panels like Garmin's SafeTaxi or ForeFlight at airports like O'Hare or Midway etc. Not Gatwick or EGLC 😁. I am speaking from real world experience. 🤣

In the Navigraph moving map on the EFB I'm using, no matter what the signs display in the scenery, I'm not going to misidentify the departure runway end and use the prohibited rwy 28, rather than authorised rwy 10 at SPZO.

Personally, I find it a small annoyance, rather than a significant one that could induce a rage quit. Of course, YMMV.

even the built-in map view would suffice. to have an EFB in a real cockpit is not mandatory and not every pilot has that not even all airliners, I guess the real world requirements re. taxi and runway signs differ from MSFS and Navigraph, whereas threads about prettier dusk/dawn sky colours get hundreds of posts vs. 20 re. runway signs.😃 that is the challenge Joerg Neumann and friends face all the time when they have to compromise constantly: entertainment vs. reality in a market where everybody in their dreams hears a voice whispering: "ladies & gentleman, we have an emergency in the cockpit. is there any MSFS pilot onboard who could help us out, please step forward and take the left seat in the cockpit." 🤣

it is, because they had access to the original sources from Microsoft. and getting runway and taxiway signs and taxiway lights right is no coding issue, it is a data issue. and a very simple one.
