Online aircraft not visible on LNM

Featured Replies

Hello

My friend and I are online on Xflightserver for years now.
We use XP12, LNM and Swift and teamspeak for communications.

Suddenly our red planes disappear from LNM and we can not find the cause.
I use the latest version of swift 0.14.36 (and the same version of Xswiftbus), my friend the former version.
We both us LNM version 2.8.12 and XPlane 12 latest version.

The yellow and orange planes are visible and they move ok on the map, so there is no problem with the connection. Both planes are also visible on the Xplane map.

We have no idea how to solve this.

Hi,

I have no idea about the Xflightserver. Does it require a connection in LNM options "Online Flying"?

Maybe you see a side effect of the duplicate removal function:

Quote

28.1. Simulator and Online Aircraft Duplicates

Little Navmap fetches data from online networks using an interval of 15 seconds up three minutes depending on settings and network.

The program also fetches AI or multiplayer aircraft from the simulator which are updated about several times a second. These aircraft are injected into the simulator by the various online clients so they are visible in the sim.

Therefore, the user aircraft and other client aircraft can appear duplicated on the map. Little Navmap removes these duplicates by matching the position, speed and other parameters against each other. The de-duplication can be disabled in dialog Options on page Online Flying.

The dark red are online aircraft fetched through the whazzup online connection (options "Online Flying"). The orange ones are fetched from the simulator.
LNM merges the duplicates to orange aircraft if all goes well.

Hi Alex

Thanks for your reply. Yes, x-flightserver.net needs a connection in lnm. It needs whatsup and that worked for many years.

I will check the remove duplicates. It is checked now.

Thanks.

It makes no difference, with or without check.
I think, it is not a LNM problem but a Swift problem.

At least the yellow and orange planes are there and other online pilots are vissible in XP12.

Thanks Alex for your help.

But I found the cause. We flew this flightplan, VFR Victoria (SCTO) to Las Ovejas (OVJ).lnmpln. Chili to Argentina in the Andes.

The problem lies in the airfieldcode OVJ. That is ok for LNM but Swift has a problem with that. When I use the code SA8I the problem was solved. 😀

Thanks again.
