Let the speculation begin!

I speculate that as in real life, the 747 will be even better 😂

Good news though, looking forward to the 777.

I agree.  The 747-8 I've never really been into.  But can't wait for the 744.  I'm also looking forward to the 777 though

Finally! The 737 released around 3 months after entering beta, hopefully the 777 releases within that timeframe too. Given their expanded team and experience on the MSFS platform, fingers crossed for a shorter beta than the 737. Also encouraging to hear that the 747 development is ramping up quickly.

2024 is looking to be the year that the floodgates open for widebody long-haulers for MSFS given what PMDG, iniBuilds, FBW, and others have cooking.

Nice to hear the Tripple is getting closer. I recall when it was released for P3D in October 2013 and the excitement of a new type well simulated. I had a trip that weekend and remember watching the Angle of Atack training videos and reading the documentation in my hotel room. (Whatever happened to AoA?)

This said, I hope they find a way to breath some life into the aircraft, to make it feel more like a living, breathing machine that needs to be cared for and respected. The 737, while excellent in so many ways, just feels lifeless to me and I so often abandon flights in it. I hope the texture work is much better and that it has working circuit breakers so that I need to check them before a flight and that its failure system is a little more robust -- so I can't spool up my engines to 100%, go away and have lunch, and come back 90 minutes later and find them completely undamaged and ready to go.

Great to see that the first 'modern' high fidelity payware wide body aircraft is finally within sight!  Hopefully it will launch with the new navdata format.  Either way, they win the internet if they launch first.  🙂

I'm not sure why Robert is not that excited about the MAX.  I know he said in an interview recently, they're pretty much 737d out, but I would argue that the MAX being the newer of the bunch would create more excitement than the rest, not to mention sell the best.  I guess they just want this stuff out and to get 'caught up', so to speak.

My prediction: PMDG conspiracies will overtake the Illuminati conspiracy theories on the internet by Jan 2024.

Moved on to bigger and better things I think

I did not even think to google them, I was just reminded about them when I was making that post. I am really glad to see where they went, bigger and better things indeed!

I hope they don't release anything until the navdata format update is done and the entire family of aircraft can finally fly procedures in LNAV correctly.  Now THAT would be an epic surprise release!
