I decided to be rather selective with the sims and addons I use.

In XP12 I use only 3 aircraft addons, no scenery addons, a few utilities like Avitab and am trying to "deal with" WT3 too, although after having getting accustomed to FSHUD for P3D and MFS it is difficult to like it as much as I do FSHUD...

Aircraft:  Toliss A320 NEO, FF 757, Zibo 738,TOGA Mitsubishi MU-2B-60 Marquise and the mSparks 744 project.

Utilities: AVITAB, and the custom updaters for FF + SkunkCrafts, considering Better Pushback too because I used it in XP11...

These addons give me the best sensation I believe XP12 can provide to it's users, but I own many other airplanes that i bought for XP11 and a couple for XP12, although their level of detail isn't up to my liking and / or they're plagged by irritating bugs / limitations...

I am looking fwd into the FF 777 v2.

I'd love to have FSHUD for XP12 too.

What are your selected addons?

Main Simulation Rig:

Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, 1 TB & 500 GB M.2 nvme drives, Win11.

Simulators used: Condorsoaring 3 (for soaring)

XP12 ( For, the better aerodynamics, a couple aircraft addons... with xEnviro and JF Traffic Global, using default ATC )

FS 2024 ( Main / preferred Flight Simulator, airliner flights and  career mode, BATC/FSHUD and FSLTL/ AIG - LOVE IT !!! )

Aircraft: Hot Start Challenger 650 (you'll be hard pressed to find any other aircraft model as detailed and deep as this in any desktop sim), Torquesim SR22 G1000, Aerobask DA50RG. I'm mostly a GA guy so the big tubeliners don't do  anything for me.

Eagerly awaiting the COWS DA42 and it's fully custom G1000NXi.

Utilities :

  • World Traffic 3
  • AVTab
  • PFEtoXPlane - so i can use PF3 with Xplane 12

I have bought far too many purchased aircraft but favourites are :

  • Felis 742 - old school flying
  • FlyJSim Dash 8
  • Thranda Cessna Caravan
  • JRollon Marchetti F260
  • Toliss A346 - this was the first payware i bought and it keeps getting updated

I also bought the REP (reality Expansion Pack) for the default Cessna 172 and that is great too.

I also use FSHud in MSFS and really enjoy that too. It would be good to see it working in  X-Plane 12, although i think the AI aircraft are better depicted by WT3.

I have bought some scenery for X-Plane 12 but tend not too as i find the stock airports to be pretty good generally in XP12.

Hello

I have many but only really use one : Hot Start Challenger 650.

Hmmm, that one's HOT for sure 🙂  You're not the first mentioning it as the GO TO XP aircraft addon 🙂

Stopped buying, Looking for a T45 for carrier practice but no ones interested. Have Q4XP, IXEG737, couple Thandra planes, always nice, some I havnt even flown yet.

Airfoil KI350

Redhawk not bad but with no real data since its new, but at least you can use it for carrier practise

Looking for the Deltawings M-346 when its released. Also JF Hawk T1 xp12 update, currently cant start engines, due to pressure density issue has Compressor stall on start up. Discovered that one with a new developer.

Should mention the MU2

Zibo's 737 is probably my most flown aircraft in XP. Near perfection despite the bugs that occasionally creep in during an update.

ToLiss A321 for payware airliner perfection.

VSKYLABS He-162 for being actually challenging to handle in almost all flight phases.

Carenado's SAAB 340B for being the best overall turboprop airliner package out there.

JRX Bo-105 for being fun...for a helicopter.

I would add LES Saab 340A, to that as well as the TOGA MU2. Q4XP has lovely sounds

My rotational "goto" Airliner for XP12 is: All Toliss, Zibo738,IXEG733, RotateMD11,Flies742.

2nd line up would be RotateMD80, FF757,InIbuildA300,they feel lacks something here and there, but still OK to go. (IXEG733's FMC also kinda falls in here, but it's overall a good enough package)

And things in : "not uninstalled yet" category would be FF767 (while same system to FF757, the flight dynamic is just way off now), FF350, xCraftEJets, and maybe LR's Default A330.

Uninstalled area: JRA330 (Not even better than the Default one), DeltaWingCRJ (Too many SASL crash for me somehow).

BTW, "the reason I still use XP11" hanger: FJS727,732, Flies Tu154 and iniBuildA310

LES' rendition is a bit dated in the visual arena and not for Linux anyway and the Q4XP disqualifies itself for (reportedly) being a complete framerate hog.

Not so much no worse than any other plane at present. Cant beat it otherwise. Laminars improvements are helping.

I'm not into airliners and prefer small GA aircraft and short VFR flights:

My current fleet that I enjoy using:

  • Thranda C337 Skymaster
  • JustFlight PA28 (the three different variants)
  • Vskylab's Icon A5 (Slow, but fun aircraft to fly)
  • The default Cessna 172 (Honestly, it looks and functions great)
  • Thranda U206G Stationair

Would love to see more smaller aircraft created for X-Plane 12 and some decent helicopters, but sadly things have slowed down or vanished at this point

Well, a third party aircraft may eat up to 20% of the FPS attained in an equivalent default aircraft. Beyond that, it becomes a tough sell.
