I wouldn't put all of the work down to him tho. We can't forget that Seb is also a very talented programmer himself and has done some impressive work considering his limited background in aviation before working on MSFS. But either way, it is reasonable to imagine that Andre is the point man now and going by the FSExpo presentation, you can tell that Seb has a ton of respect for him so they probably work well together.

And as a rw vfr pilot, I' m not too bothered with desktop sims boasting about authentic FM...when I sit on a regular office chair and no force feedback yoke. I'm already disconnected from the airframe! so going from 80% "authentic" to even 95% probably won't even be noticed by me. Because garbage in data is too profound (garbage in = my sim setup).

Well, he worked for the IRL Sukhoi, as well as the Il-2 Sturmovik dev shop, so he's already got the chops to pull it off. 😁

Let's hope that Jorg & Seb are thinking of allowing that type of (re)expansion...

It just sounds like you're every bit as salty as the other people who have a problem with their favorite sim not being the most popular. BTW, I know Austin is a brilliant guy but it doesn't make him calling MSFS a scenery viewer any less stupid. Same goes for you when you repeat nonsense like that.

Gotta love when people from other subforums swoop in here to "just have a conversation" while simultaneously tossing incendiary garbage like calling the subject of this forum "a scenery generator and gimmicks", or replying to that person saying "I agree and jeez you're brave!".  Then having the gall to accuse other people of condescension or "chest thumping" as the passive aggression radiates off your every word.

Weirdly this only seems to happen when a thread surfaces here that compels them to spring into action to cape for their platform of choice, or they feel the urge to put the scenery generator for babies in it's place.

I have seen the odd person venture in there to cape for MSFS occasionally, and to the extent that happens that is also insufferable.  But it's truly next-level in this subforum.

I don't think we all need to be segmented off like rival prison gangs or something, but the moment a regular XP or P3D subforum poster comes in here and starts using descriptions like "scenery generator and gimmicks" for MSFS, there isn't really a question any more for what their intentions are.

This has been going on since before the sim even came out, when mSparks was all over every thread here peddling uninformed, disingenuous nonsense for so long that he ended up getting banned from the entire subforum (or at least that was my understanding).

The man had an opinion.  Just because you don't agree with it, does that mean he deserves to be chastised for it?
