December 28, 20232 yr Nowadays there are so much one can do and so many options in PCs that I was getting distracted away from MSFS. There were times I got bored in MSFS going from Point A to Point B. MSFS was turning into a kaleidoscope-like type toy for me. Every time you shake the toy, you get new beautiful patterns to look at… but there's only so much shaking one can do before one gets tired of new patterns (sceneries in the case of MSFS). That changed Christmas day. Santa gifted me Meta's Quest 3 which brings new life to MSFS. Two words: amazing technology!! Likely a breakthrough product for Meta. I never realize how crowded and small cockpits are in some GA planes before VR. I keep grabbing for the yoke and the throttle in the plane except for one problem…. I don't have a yoke and I don't have a throttle. It doesn't exist. It's all virtual. 🙂 Amazingly realistic. Anyway, if you want something really new in MSFS, get a VR headset. It did for me, and it might do it for you too. Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).
December 28, 20232 yr Moderator ok, an explanation for the lock. NO ONE has done anything wrong. I think @bofhlusr has a valid opinion which belongs in this forum. That said, a discussion of VR belongs in the VR forum not this one. I hope you understand my logic, no onew broke any rules etc. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
