January 4, 20242 yr Commercial Member Is it ok only to run installer and re-install over previous default scenery build, or it's better to install whole XP12 from scratch? Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

Including slightly higher and more accurate mesh fidelity, new autogen/forestry updates and flattening issues with some airports. Doesn't sound like quite the revolution I was hoping for, but if anybody has a link to screenshots of the improvements, would love to see them. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
January 4, 20242 yr Just downloaded a new installer from X-Plane website and my side computers/monitors are now downloading 60GB. So the installer that was in XP12 folder screwed up some how, others may want to check their new update and make sure it's in correctly. This is not the new scenery system that has been mentioned by LR. It's a recut of the current scenery with mesh improvements and some bugs corrected.

January 5, 20242 yr Commercial Member That actually looks very decent. I do like the condensation over the wings at lower speeds. But the scenery looks much better. Edited January 5, 20242 yr by GoranM

The only comparison I've seen so far is in this posthttps://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/299624-1209rc2-update-available/&do=findComment&comment=2655787 Very minor changes but we were told before it would be so.
January 5, 20242 yr Commercial Member I did a bigger pattern around LOWI and I immediately noticed much better mesh (higher resolution) and a bit better texture placement (better landclass data I think). The ground textures are still shimmering when viewed from low angles, but I suppose they are working on replacing them. All in all, default scenery look a bit better than before, and almost, just a tiny bit below the bar. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
