January 18, 20242 yr Just in case anyone felt there weren't enough 2-seat ultralight aircraft using the horrific MSFS G3X we have another releasePixelPlanes Breezer Sport It looks pretty enough but honestly i can't see any reason to get excited about this one over any of the other options in this crowded sector ? If you do want to try it out, be aware it's being released through Aerosoft so you need to install and update via their Aerosoft One app even if you buy from other stores (and if you're in the UK at least it's significantly cheaper at Just Flight) Edited January 18, 20242 yr by Matchstick
January 18, 20242 yr This was released a good few weeks ago and there is another thread on here about it. In short, it's probably the worst LSA release for MSFS so far. The model and textures are nice - everything else is so bad. The only way you could start it until yesterday's update, was with CTRL+E. The prop is set up disastrously; it has been set up as a (non-adjustable) constant speed; but maintains 5800, instead of 5500. That means the plane flies permanently at the max RPM for this engine, which is only supposed to be used for the first 1-2 minutes of flight! There's no AP fitted to it, even though the model and spec featured comes with a Garmin GFC500. I mean, it's not just that he didn't set "autopilot=1" in the systems.cfg..... he didn't even add a Bus entry for the AP. As it happens, I have added an AP, by setting up the bus for the AP myself. But it's honestly not worth the effort. The "Tablet" is utterly useless and simply does things like opening the door, placing chocks and about 2 other things. It's overpowered (even for the 915i) and flies nothing like the real Breezer which I have about 8 hours in, left seat. When I saw there was finally an update yesterday, I thought maybe all these issues had been resolved... but the change log revealed that the single only thing that had been addressed in the update, was that you can now start it with the key, and not just CTRL+E. "Pixel Planes" is in some way related to FSS ("Sascha" is the lone developer and he works in some capacity with FSS). But it's not a FSS airplane. It uses the basic FSS architecture for the tablet (as seen in the P2006, P2012 and Searey Elite) But that's it. Avoid it like the plague. The default VL-3 knocks this poor effort out of the park. The Orbx Blackwing and even the Airfoil Labs Bristell B23 are light years ahead of this.
