Cabin crew & pax sounds - any suggestions?

Cabby is also a good option. You can create your own packs or use ones from the Fenix Discord, etc. It works with GSX and recognizes things like fueling, turbulence, boarding, and more.

It makes every aircraft feel like it has integrated announcements, similar to FSLabs (not Fenix, as they basically copied the system from FSLabs).

  • You should use Self-Loading Cargo, it's MUCH better.

  • Thanks folks. I discovered and tried Luke Air Tool (free) and it is exactly what I was looking for! Very impressive that it has dozens of different airline sound packs.... and again for free

The need for simmers to have some kind of imagined "immersion" when it comes to cabin sounds is fascinating.

Cockpit doors, together with the running fans are making sure that in reality to you her nothing from the cabin. And no real pilot listens to the cabin announcements.

That's the passenger experience.

In the sim you are not the passenger, so forget about cabin environments.

This may just be my imagination, but when I switch on the recirculation fans in my PMDG 737-600 at the end of a flight, I could swear that I can feel the fresh air blowing across my face....

In the sim people can be/do anything THEY want without being told by someone else on avsim how they "should" use the sim...

It's a wonderful thing.

I use Pac-X personally.  Very pleased and uploaded my own United flight safety videos, boarding music etc so it is customizable.

Really good imagination there Christopher 🙂 - I could use some fresh air down south here at the moment, it's too darned hot and I am unwilling to add my PC's heat to the room just now. BR.

Don't get me started on hot, this sensor is in the "shade."

My race sim does actually have variable fans based on the speed of the car in the sim.  So as you accelerate the airflow increases 🙂  It's kind of cool no pun intended....

Is it realistic to have a airline safety video sound on my speakers during pushback and engine start? Of course not.  But neither are "wing views" and spot views.  What a weird thing to get hung up on.  For some of us it ties in our real flight experience with the sim.

Do you have a 2nd pilot at your computer? Run every checklist? I'm sure you are doing something in your sim that isn't "real" also.

How about you don't tell others how to enjoy their sim....

PACX is good - just good. I remember reading that there will be no further development on it though.

SLC is much more in-depth and can take some time to configure, but once you do it exceeds PACX by a fair margin.

There is a newer program called Passenger2 which I believe is career-based as well? Not sure as I have not used it. I also read that it integrates well with GSX.

LukeAirTool is freeware and may contain what you are seeking?

SLC is a product of a whole different class/category here (I mean it as a compliment) - it's much more a crew simulator than the others which mostly just play sounds. SLC requires a slight change to your flows and can sometimes mess up but it's really satisfying to use, depending on how deep you want to go you can customize announcements etc. or use voice recognition. It'd be nice to see more voicepacks now that AI voice synthesis is so cheap but hey it's a great product for the price and I think it's the closest I've felt to "flying the line" since I stopped.

Completely agreed. I think the "framework" is awesome, just needs many more voice packs.

Thank you! But do these work directly with Cabby or do they need modification? They seem to be the wrong format. (Missing manifest.json file)

You need to modify them a bit; correct the name and format; but that’s maybe 5 minutes of work for each pack.
