I just recently came across this post on the Xtreme Prototypes website! I loved this aircraft in P3D!

There is nothing like two CJ610's screaming on departure! Can't wait! With the amazing Lear 35 from FSW this will complete my Lear "wish list"

"Our classic Gates Learjet Model 25/28 business jet addons for Microsoft® Flight Simulator 2024 are currently in production and will be released later this year. "

Yes, it’s a real handful this one, not something for the faint of heart!

Looks brilliant, never had it in p3d, can anyone chime in how well the systems are modelled?

Suddenly it's *Raining BIZZJETS* and Bizzprops 🤩🤩😂

What a Fantastic Luxury-problem to have

HOW COOL That is, That!!!... 👍👍👌👌👌

What a good time for GA-Aircraft

Missing Aircraft in this category now for me; is:

A Really Good Beechjet400A/Hawker400XP (steam/glass hybrid) (could we hope🤞🤞 for a BlackSquare version *after* the Beech-Starship releases?)

A Great Cessna Citation II or IV(5?) steam/glass version

A Great Falcon 50(FSW) or a 900

A Challenger 604 old, or new 350/800 or a Long range and Faaast Global-jet 6000/7000/8000

I think It would be *impossible/Extremely-Hard* to get a Gulfstream (unless released "official" and made by PMDG or Aerobask), (History shows Gulfstream, they are "as protective" as Disney about their property) so I won't even mention it... 😬😬🙄

I also Like a Embraer Phenom 100/300,

Hawker/Beech Premier 1A,

Learjet 45,

And the Cool Pilatus PC24 Jet..

I did not expect Bizzjets to be "so popular" this time around 😲😲 must be the scenery, and the ability/possibility and challenge of going into many small airstrips around the Beautiful world! 👍

One of my P3D favorites!  Pity it's slated for MSFS 2024. Who knows when that will deliver?!

The Phenom 300 is coming. If I had a better memory than a goldfish I'd remember who's making it, but as I recall, it promises to be good (certainly better than the Carenado one for FSX/P3D)

I'm surprised Carenado hasn't ported their FSX/P3d Premier over yet. Especially for a Carenado product, it was pretty good (probably because they knew they were selling them mainly to fans of Premier 1 Driver on YT, and they wouldn't be able to get away with too much slop with as thorough as Greg was showing people everything he did).

Seeing the Lear25 coming to the modern sim is great! Even though there was some unrealistic stuff in the old version (autothrottles), it was a real hoot to fly, and the 70s texture design and funk playing on the 8-track was so, so well done.

The Phenom 300 is being done by FSReborn.

Certainly an amazing time for bizjets, especially those with "modern" avionics - something sorely lacking in P3D. Looking forward to anything by FSReborn, FFX & FSW.

Flew the 25 to a lot in p3d, was very late to the FSW 35 party , but after I got that I flew the 25 once - then straight back to the 35. Not a massive fan of the steam gauge jets anyway, so the FSW 35 is enough in my hangar, might get the FSW Falcon when that comes out.

G

PS:- Think that XP left the autothrottles in because they couldn't get the speed hold modes to work correctly. I know that was still the case in v3.0.

Fans of the Learjet might want to read a book recommended by the devs in Xtreme Prototype's manual for the Model 25: The Learjet Diaries: A Coming of Age Story: Madonna, Greg: 9781946886156: Amazon.com: Books

There were lots of things about the Learjet that I learned from reading the book. Several examples (paraphrasing and quoting from the book):

1. Fuel management is critical in flight. Don’t descend unless you are committed to land on a runway. And, fuel on both tip tanks have to be filled simultaneously otherwise the plane will tip over. "As a common fuel saving technique ... taxi on only one engine. The airplane was so overpowered that we still rolled easily on one engine".
2. "The ideal descent profile is to pitch down, accelerate to redline and come down like a speeding bullet. In a prop you come down at medium speed. In the Lear, it's all about maximizing speed. You want to stay as high as possible, and as fast as possible, for as long as possible. Let the wings do most of the work, not the engines."
3. "The faster the airplane flew, the more lift the wing produced. That was really no different than any other airplane but the Lear had an especially thin wing, designed to optimize high speed flight. That type of wing didn't produce a lot of lift at low speeds, and just after lift off most of our perfromance would still be relying the the sheer thrust of the engines... If we rotated too soon, the sudden increase in our angle of attack would sharply increase our drag and slow down our acceleration significantly".
4. The aircraft uses Ni-Cad batteries which is prone to overheating. Holds so much enery (good for starting when you don't have a starter units) that they're high strung. Runs out of juice quickly without warning.
5. Flying a Lear was all about maintaining momentum, and unnecessary throttle movements were the hallmark of an amateur.
6. This airplane has a pitch response different from what you are used to. The engines are placed higher than the center of gravity so a thrust increases causes a pitch down and a thrust decrease causes a pitch up. It's the opposite of propeller driven airplanes.
7. It is a high workload airplane... not only do you have to baby the flight controls, you have to do the same with the engines. The turbines themselves can take a lot of abuse, but the problem is that they are fast to respond.

A good buy if you want to broaden your skies and sim experience or just want to try something different from flying tubeliners and props (or just a little bored flying the same thing over and over again).
