BA Aircraft Contaminated by Radio-Activity

Recommended Posts

The Russian ex-spy and dissident Alexander Litvinenko died last week in suspicious circumstances in London as a result of poisoning by radio-active Polonium-210. Police investigating his death have found traces of radio-activity of two of British Airway's aircraft that had been on recent services to and from Moscow. A third aircraft has been taken out of service in Moscow and is being flown back to the UK for tests. As a result, BA is having to contact some 33,000 passengers and about 3,000 crew who have recently flown on these aircraft between between 25 October and 29 November with a view to checking their health. It is said that the health risk is thought to be low.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6158473.stm
