The new version of frame generation DLL file

yes, the one that says:

NVIDIA DLSS DLL 3.6.0

"the file size is much larger ( 32.4mb) compared with the default ( 13.8mb) "

sometimes bigger is better, updateter or newer shall we say.

"I prefer to place it manually than use dlss swapper "

be careful! 🙃

Thanks! Why to be careful, i thought its just a copy-paste procedure.

Also why we need to manually update those important nvidia files with dlss swapper etc and not MSFS to change them regularly on every update

And that's the million dollar question. MSFS is still on the oct '22 version. But updating is not tricky, so no hassle really. Just be careful 😉

because you were afraid to let the DLSS swapper autopilot do it for you. 😀

As i  use only frame generation on 4090, do i need to update also the regular (nvngx_dlss.dll) ?  Just saw that i have the 2.4.12.0 file version.

thanks

Late to the party... I have an RTX 4070TiS so apparently this is going to be useful for me? If I update these two dll's, what else needs to be done to take advantage of them though - I presume I need to run MSFS in DX12 mode? Plus change from TAA to ??? in the sim graphics menu? Anything in NVCP?

NO need to, as we said above but it doesn't cost you much 😀 to update them BOTH to the latest version 3.6.0

and yes it is newer and therefore the file size is bigger and it has more features of which we don't know yet if/how MSFS makes any use of it yet.

and always be careful.🙃

DLSS 3.7 DLL now available.

Just tested on MSFS and looking VERY clean on my sim.

I'm still using the dlssg-to-fsr3 frame gen mod from NexusMods.  Assuming this replaces that?  Last time I tried DLSS swapper with my 3080, the cockpit gauge ghosting was a huge immersion killer for me.

You need both files, the mod and the 3.7.0

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Thanks for the heads up. Information on possible benefits here: https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/dlss-update-3-7

Reddit user Yakumo_unr claims that injecting the DLSS 3.7.0 dll files into Horizon: Forbidden West nets average frame rates that are “quite a bit higher”, running the game on a GeForce RTX 4090, with its highest settings, at 1440p.
Better still, other users highlight that DLSS 3.7.0 has “the best motion clarity so far” with less noticeable smearing and artefacts. This isn’t limited to Forbidden West either, with reports of improvements to Watch Dogs: Legion too.

Does anyone know where to find a description of changes included in DLSS updates? Similar to nVidia driver release notes. The above mentioned article links to a GitHub site, but I’ve no idea how to gather any useful information from that https://github.com/NVIDIAGameWorks/Streamline?sl

By the way, both versions are needed for RTX40-series owners in order to tweak DLSS settings using nVidia profile inspector (e.g. implement ultra quality).

I don’t think 3.7 is available here yet https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/
