If I replace my old machine with new one?

Recommended Posts

I have not seen one blurry. Before my gt8800 card came-I ran on my son's 7800gts-I also did not see one blurry here either-though saw some graphics glitches (I didn't bother to update the driver since it was temporary). No glitches with the 8000 in dx9-normal reported glitches when using dx10 (no menu freeze though).Intel core 2 duo E6750 2.66 hz, 4 gigs ram, vista 32.http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/

I can run with full autogen now but I still choose not to for looks. However, I have made a compromise. I don't like the autogen buildings which destroy the reality for me and cover the beautiful gex photoreal textures-but I do like the trees. So I set the buildings to 0-trees to full. I find while on the ground-with scenery complexity full-I get the cities, airport structures etc. I take off with trees in the environment-once a couple hundred of feet up-the photo building textures blended with the autogen trees look great. Imho of course! It is great now having lots of car traffic and air traffic which I had to hold down on my last system-and no blurries!http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/181308.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/181309.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/181310.jpg

Question 1: According to that last picture, you are frame locking at 40? with full autogen?Q2: Does a frame lock of say, 37 cause blurries for you? Is the "multiples of 5" thing still in effect?RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

I haven't seen any blurries at all with these settings. I have found locking at 20 or 40 give me good results (with the fps creeping a little higher at 40). I did see a few blurries when I tried unlimited (but they unblurred almost instantly). I'll try some odd numbers later a report back.http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/

If you're able to run all of that autogen with a framelock of 40, then I have a lot to look forward to when I upgrade...And that's what it's all about, in going full circle with the original posters post.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian
