Shrike F-86 sign up for Liveries

Featured Replies

At least you don't have to pay for them but I purchased the Shrike F-86 a couple of weeks ago and I'm happy with it so far but for one thing, the absence the iconic "The Huff" livery. WHAT!

Anyway, I email Shrike via their 'Drop us a line' link on their website asking if we are getting The Huff livery at some point to which the reply said you get it when you sign up for the Shrike Club News letter. WHAT!

It made me wonder what else is missing? Anyway, I wanted the livery so I signed up and the browser loaded a page which read:

"Your request has been received and information has been sent to you.

Please check your email address!"

Well, no email.

Tried it again the next day. Still no email.

Emailed them to inquire. No reply

Tried to sign up again a week later. Still no email

Emailed again to inquire and report the problem.

Still no reply.

Do you think they don't give a 💩?

I guess I won't be purchasing that 530f after all!

Maybe it's W.I.P. on their site. I signed up for their newsletter and got the confirmation email with a link to "The Huff". The page requires a username and password, which are given in the email - and downloaded it with no problem. Have you checked your spam folder etc.?

The livery filename is milviz-aircraft-f86f-livery-897.zip - which makes me wonder if it's the old Milviz livery anyway <?>. I don't have the Shrike F-86 (yet) so can't test it out.

Well, I managed to download the livery by registering with a different email address. The link in the email still wouldn't work in Firefox. Managed to open it with a private browser window and got it download. Put it in the Community folder and after all of that it didn't show up in the sim. Love the Sabre but I don't think I'll buy from the developer again. I just have the feeling they don't care about after sales service.

I got to the bottom of my F-86 wows. It was in fact in my liveries the whole time but I was blind sided by it being called 897 and not The Huff and the livery thumbs show the opposite side of the fuselage the dragon is on. I'm definitely getting old! All in all, I'll take my cranky disposition about the Shrike Sabre back. It's great and I'd highly recommend it. I'll be dropping the dough for the 530f after all! 🤣
