The World Hub has started to contain community-driven updates to default/vanilla MSFS airfields. This should start addressing the issues with taxiways, parking spots, etc. https://docs.flightsimulator.com/flighting/html/WorldHub/World_Hub.htm AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440) Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter
May 3, 20242 yr third party airports can also contain their own sids will override the defaults. For example, according to one of the BATC devs on Discord, there's apparently an issue with ini's KSAT where the SIDs are blank causing there to be zero procedures when trying to do a flight plan, and will also effect BATC itself. May 3, 20242 yr Can't see the value in purchasing this until it's fully baked. Once it controls other traffic in addition to myself, then I'm very interested in trying it out.
May 4, 20242 yr Never mind this post: it seems to be a joke... From the dev: "Please note that BATC will require a Sony PSN account profile from launch day forward. We understand that while this may be an inconvenience to some of you, this step will help us to continue to build a community that you are all proud to be a part of." Hm... Helldivers 2 is having a massive community meltdown, because they are forcing people to link a PSN account all of a sudden. This simply is a bug. And the used version isn't an early build at all... These are the kind of bugs that will come with the EA. I do appreciate the transparency of the dev (in his own previous video, the quoted video isn't 'transparent') but I am really curious to see what all EA users will think of the current state of BATC. I do think some people are expecting too much. Edited May 4, 20242 yr by tup61
May 4, 20242 yr Shut up and take my money immediately. I've been a word not allowed as soon as they announced this. Can anyone please recommend a headset with the mic that is comfortable and as close to aviation one as possible? Jacek G. May 4, 20242 yr There are lots of aviation headsets out there, from big clunky over-the-ear sets that look like they're from the 1950s to in-ear noise cancelling. Realistically any PC headset you get will match some sort of aviation headset. I don't like in-ear ones for various reasons. I don't like corded ones because even though that's what's in an airplane, the cord makes it easy to catch with a chair arm and yank the headphones off the desk. I'm fairly happy with my Steelseries Arctis 7x. They suffer audio interference problems when coupled with later-model AMD chips (this is the chip's fault, not the headphones - this happens with many brands) but there are ways to get around that. Mainly having some sort of metal between the receiver and the computer (all crackling went away completely when I upgraded to a metal-top desk). Sound quality is good, and I like that the mic boom retracts into the headset so it's not just hanging out there waiting to get broken when not in use.
