Ho do I remove Acceleration & keep payware planes?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,I've almost decided to remove Acceleration from my PC & FSX, as I think its responsible for a number of glitches with some of my payware aircraft. Namely the CS 757, the CLS/Just Flight A340 500/600 (VC windscreen glitches when raining, on both planes) and my FSD Piper Navajo whic refuses to work at all.My question is that I know I have to go through the whole process of uninstalling FSX & acceleration and then re-installing FSX & SP1, and then reinstalling my planes...again, but is there any way the whole process can be shortened...Maybe I can avoid the process if anyone has heard of a patch or something for the above planes. I have the latest CS patch, 1.4 installed.Oh well,Cheers,Fisky1.

You should be able to un-install Acceleration from the uninstall menu.No need to re-install FSX..

Go to the control panel, then Add/Remove Programs. FSX Acceleration should be on that list. Simply select uninstall. Keep in mind, this only uninstalls Acceleration - it does not completely uninstall FSX (which is what I think you're after - the Accel uninstall, that is). cheers...

Thanks Guys for the advice,But I've decided I am going to give acceleration a little more time, 'cause I want to double check that all payware planes are patched up to date, and installed correctly.Cheers,Fisky1.

If you own FS9 you can rid yourself of the VC rain/blue screen problem. FS9 Disk 2, game3 file (I think), open it up, copy all 32 VCrain*.bmp files and place them in your FSX texture folder (after backing up the originals of course). Not only does this fix the blue screen issue but adds rain onto the windshield in VC mode again (FS9 ported planes only).

YOu shouldnt lose anything of fsx. I installed and uninstalled acceleration 6 times because it would always cause errors, and I never lost my fsx.
