100% Blurry Fix for Vista

Recommended Posts

Guest DeltaMD88

I have them (blurries) too. This stab doesn't do anything for me either. The only way to get back from them is come out of full screen mode into window mode then reenter.I wonder why x-plane doesn't have an issue with this? Smooth as silk and no blurries (or stutters) ever. Maybe Microsoft should try and buy them out so they can learn how to program a sim correctly!

Tackling blurries and seeking performance improvements are all one in the same and are like tryng to chop down an oak tree with an AK-47. It can definitely be done, but you won't find one magic bullet that will do it. You need a series of small 'bullets' that complement each other and work to attain the goal. This post is a very good example of that. Another way to reduce system overhead and get to the point where FSX has the sufficient resources to run blurry-less. Turning sliders up to the right instantly negates each new-found gain. This is why it seems to be a subject that's being beaten to death...becuase by it's nature, it must be. I'd suggest though that it definitely would be worthwhile to point out any negative implications of turning these services off though, so the user could make an informed decision about it. Security? Impact to being able to use a restore point in the future?

Here are a couple of settings that I should mention:FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=1.00TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULTI=10LOD_RADIUS=6.50000If you use a fsx.exe loader like fsautostart, set the priority of fsx.exe to HIGH. Also, stop any service / app (non-esential) that needs to access the hard drive. I think that the goal should be to give FSX exclusive HD access.ThanksjjaMB: EVGA 680i nforceCPU: INTEL 6800 Core II Extreme @ 3.5GHD: WD raptor 150G 10K RPMGPU: EVGA 8800GTX 768MB No OCMEM: 4G Kingston HyperX
