Bravo Airspace 787-8 Released On Marketplace Today

Featured Replies

At least, is has improved cockpit graphics  ?

It’s in marketplace so it can’t be free. Seems like an ok product tbh, especially on console.

I think the people getting it that understand what it is and that you need the WT787 already seem pretty happy with it.

Its got some neat new features and graphical improvements and nice liveries and sounds etc. sure it’s not for everyone but everyone likes different things in the sim.

All those fselite comments look pretty unpleasant.

IMHO this is a far better product than bredok or Capt sim. Obviously if you’re used to free mods and liveries for the 78 on pc then you’re unlikely to pay for this in marketplace.

I’m a bit surprised about some of the negativity about this really.

I'm not. Welcome to the modern world.

(and I like the look of this - I'll probably get a copy as I'm big on things like cabin interiors etc)

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I purchased it day one thinking it was using WT Avionics. From what I can see, it does not, at least in its current build. It DOES NOT perform Simbrief Import like the WT 787-10 and it DOES NOT Import fuel and pax and set up W&B Import like the WT 787-10 so as of right now it’s no different systems wise than a Breedock or a Captain Sim IMO.  Currently binned for me at least until the first update.

I have had problems with this aircraft including the ZFW sketched me out. But their support team helped me out and i have it fixed they're also adding simbrief integration i believe it isn't the worse. The price isn't that bad and for what you get im happy

great sounds! great interior with changing moodlighting, best airliner interior I have seen yet! flies fabulous, realistically, autolands, ILS etc... finding no faults so far, other than some missing PERF realism in FMS but no show stoppers... only thing I hate is the liveries are filthy dirty... I also love clean, new rollout quality.....

Done two flights so far. There are some room for improvements;

-upper beacon light doesnt illuminate the fuselage.

-The ailerons are very sensitive/twitchy. Its like they ho from 0-100 in 0.1 seconds.

-Sounds for flap extension/retraction sounds strange.

But in overall, its quite nice and worth the money.

I would be bummed if folks though all we added to the 787 from default (which is what those planes use) was weight/balance and SimBrief support, even though that does seem to be what many simmers focus on. I've posted this elsewhere, but here's a "best-of" of just the deeper things we added to the 787:

Quote

- Deep simulation of the fly-by-wire system, including the correct C*U control laws, law blending, FAC interface with autopilot and switching, trim operation

- Flight model built to the book using manufacturer provided data and type rated test pilots

- Quite deep FMS operations, including stuff like correctly computed step climbs, full top to bottom cyclic integral VNAV (like on the real deal) with proper idle descent predictions, fuel predictions, wind inputs, decels

- Probably the most accurate LNAV of any Boeings currently available from anyone, including the ability to do things like RF legs; and of course other things you need for VATSIM ops like missed approaches, go-arounds, holds, etc

- All the correct 787 synoptics with proper indications, simulated values (temps, pressures, flows) for normal operations based on real world values

- Packs, gens, fuel, engine start, APU, electrical systems all operationally correct and faithfully simulated for normal operations

- Avionics that are very close to pixel for pixel to the real world counterparts

- AFCS with all the correct Boeing modes and behaviors specific to the 78, including a full autoland simulation, FAC/GP, IAN, etc

- Extensive FADEC and autothrottle simulation, using data and targets direct from manufacturer data

- IRS simulation including various align time options and proper systemic integration

- Extremely extensive nearly 1:1 HUD simulation including rising runway, zero vis operations, declutter mode, etc, which actually has been used by real pilots on type for familiarization before tests

- Full and complete TCAS II simulation built entirely to the real TCAS specification including TAs and RAs with correct avionics indications

- Complete GPS and RNAV simulation including actual GPS satellite positions based on true orbital mechanics, full SBAS integration including geopositioned satellites and correct SBAS service areas

- EFB with performance takeoff calculations using linear algebraic mathematical optimization as on the real EFB

- Extensive and nearly complete CAS and messages for normal operations and many abnormal indications

- Full customs flaps system simulation with correct flaps cycle sequencing, timings, load releif

- Full pressurization system simulation including air system simulation and interaction, correct climb and descent schedules, hi-alt modes, AUTO mode pulling landing alt from plan, MAN mode

- Custom over the top engine simulation providing things like accurate TPR (sim doesn't compute or know of TPR)

These are just some of the deeper items on the plane. Hopefully that helps give a little more context!

We don't generally like to push the hype train for our own stuff; humbly flying under the radar is more our speed. But I do think sometimes we've done ourselves a disservice there, as in general conversation it seems like the common consensus is that the default systems just got a tiny bit of extra rework and then a shiny new EFB/SimBrief/W&B, but that's just not the case.

Hope that helps folks looking at this particular aircraft. It looks to be one version behind, so doesn't have the SimBrief and W&B stuff, but would have everything else, which any other aircraft using the legacy avionics would not.

TY Matt. You are correct of course concerning systems.   As a first day customer of Bravo, the real and only beef I have with the plane is a lack of transparency from start.  Had they made the fact that they were one rev behind WT clear, as well as give credit to WT (No mention of WT version on the Init Page that I can see) then I would have not felt like I just bought a bait and switch.

The ball is now on Bravo’s court. I remain wary until proven otherwise.

I think that's fair, although I don't really personally care about the specific in-FMS credit part, myself. But having it visible which version of the avionics (AAU2, SU14, SU15) were in use is not a bad thing, to be sure.

Bought this today. The exterior model is insanely detailed. Probably the best I have seen so far. Just use drone cam to zoom into the landing gears and you will see what I am talking about. The cockpit is also very nicely detailed. Way better than default. The aircraft also flies beautifully. Now don't get me wrong. This is nowhere near study level. But the price reflects that. Totally worth it.

As I expected based upon the my expectations for Bravo.

NO UPDATE TODAY

-B

As of 6/5/2024: UPDATE-1 had to be revised. It will be sent to Microsoft today. We sincerely apologize for the delay. We will be posting what’s included in the update.

Bravo Airspace 787-8 just got updated on MP to ver 2.2.6. SB import and W&B calculation now functional. Trying it out now.
-B

Follow-up:  I just posted this on WT discord 787-10 topic. Developer posts there and interfaces with WT.  This was my note:

BRAVO AIRSPACE 787-8 has been updated to current WT software and has same functionality as the 787-10 and Kuro - 8. I’m flying it now and it at a glance flys as would be expected but the Bravo Kustom Camera defaults plain suck.  Can we get Asobo defaults back as baseline please?  @francisjohannes
Why do I say they suck?  Default PIC sits you smack in front of the center post NOT the yoke.  IRL flying ain’t done that way please and thank you
PS. Selecting HUD camera places you far right FO’s seat while dropping HUD on Captains side.

Hi guys,

I'm thankful for those who have given the aircraft a chance. You've all have open the doors for further improvements and additional content.

I must say,

From my personal experience handling users' ups and downs, the outcome has been more positive.

But as our first aircraft, we were warned about the community's mixed opinions, so it's understandable that we read through it all.

@btacon, regarding camera views, we recommend creating custom ones that will save with your aircraft.

Create Custom Camera Views in MSFS (youtube.com)

There are many tutorials on how to create your camera view.

Please dm or email me regarding any questions about our company and the aircraft. Or ask away so it can be publicly viewed.

To any of you, we have a support email and forum, so we are fully accessible to you guys because we simply just want to communicate and create better products.

Simbrief

The release of no simbrief was an accident, with unfortunate last-minute changes on the aircraft that backfired heavily. We took a hit. The problem was solved a week after the release, but I wanted to add more fixes, combined with the marketplace testing process which took 4 weeks to get it to the users. So, we apologize for this. We've also noticed a number of users having issues with their ZFW inputs but, respectfully, after testing their flight plans (they sent me their simbrief id and i record the process) the pilots weren't aware of the limitations the ZFW, whether the aircraft was too light or too heavy. Thankfully, to complement the right settings, we created a simbrief airframe. As of now, the plane is rolling well. And many users even after coming back from the B777-3, still love it.

Working Title has done an amazing job, and our latest release's high standards are currently implemented.

To add

Please keep in mind that we are human beings working hard to create something special and powerful for your entertainment. Something you must know about us is that we are straightforward and vocal. We love what we do because we are old-school simmers. But when we are quiet is because we are working and we are focused. Testing and developing.

Liveries,

I think someone online keeps repeating that we wanted to sale liveries... This was just an idea in case we run out of space because, on the marketplace, you have a limited file size for each type of content within your package. But, I must say that even recognized developers do the same on top of their $60,$70, $80 price tags. In other words, it's not a negative thing.

It's basically done for console users when aircraft packages are full and liveries do not fit.

The current update we are working on will allow the 788 to fit more liveries,. Nevertheless, this upcoming week, additional schemes will be added to the package. Hoping that without update-2 they can be shipped. We will see how it goes.

To wrap it up,

For the last two months, we've been updating the aircraft. There hasn't been a time for resting. So we aren't settling down with what's available just yet. There are additional plans on top of what's coming.

I do ask for those who have questions and doubts to not rely on the echo chambers we find online and just email us questions. Check youtube for footage and streamers on twitch.

Take care guys.

Don’t want custom view as they reset the moment you use the hat to pan. This does not happen with default cameras.
