Any simulator that could do this I would buy immediately.  Sorry MSFS just doesn't cut it.

Neither does P3D or XPlane does those cloud depictions you posted so what is your point? You gonna cut them off too?

call me crazy, I'd just like to see clouds that are white and not transparent :)

I'll just have to rebalance my expectations and wait for the next leap forward in weather simulation in gaming beyond what MSFS has given us to-date.

I see clouds like those in MSFS all the time using presets.

?? Who said anything about "cut them off" ??  This thread was about voting to get better weather in MSFS.  Why do some of you have a problem with people NOT liking MSFS weather and voting for a better?  Are you afraid of something ... not enough market share, concern about higher CPU/GPU requirements for better weather rendering, or just don't want to spend money of 3rd party that could do better if provided for in the SDK?  What's driving some of you to be so against anyone that thinks MSFS has problems/issues?

Looking at the OPs thread history, he's been both positive and negative towards MSFS ... like most normal individuals.

You folks do realize that complaints drive improvements?

Sometimes you can get fairly nice looking clouds, but yeah everything could aways be improved :-)

Cheers

Don't mention the name, pics would be nice (as proof) 😇

No, thanks. I'd rather keep the current weather engine than going back to the old and ugly billboard clouds. I respect your opinion if you think this above looks better, but I have to vehemently disagree with you.

I want to look into the future, not the past:

In this insane forum over there most people already get mass-banned purely for "Rule no. 4565675573456 broken: You are existing - which goes against Forum rule 45667567-78646 §564."  Every second word and mentioning anything but the default planes and pure ingame-stuff (NOTHING from real-world flying, real aviation, real PPL and real aircraft technology is allowed anymore!) is causing the next meltdown, strike and warning in this censorship-circus. 😄

But I think the Flight Simulator 2020 clouds are not that ugly and bad to be in absolute need of urgently being fixed, in fact it is still the simulator with the best looking clouds available. It is still far away from true photorealism, but let´s see how Flight Simulator 2024 will look like. Maybe they have a whole new weather engine in the new sim.

Some improvements for more cloud variants could be made, cirrus is still missing:

I agree that MSFS current weather system has a lot of room for improvements, however, if we compare it with what we used to have with previous versions of MSFS, P3D, XP the difference is abysmal. I'm sticking with default weather system and look forward to future improvements.
