May 31, 20242 yr I am flying with FSHud again today and boy... what a stable and reliable ATC addon it is...It simply works. With traffic too! Almost forgot how enjoyable it is to have an ATC addon you can trust and rely on. Peace and joy.

However, I have the idea this isn't something that will be added in a few weeks or so... I do have to add that I've grown accustomed to the FSHud voices. I sometimes even prefer them over the slightly over the top BATC voices. I just wish there were more. But I don't really want them to sound like coming from a Hollywood movie or something. You can use just FSITL to inject traffic with BATC but it's unaware of its existence. That said, I do run FSITL with BATC and for taxing and the like the MSFS AI does an ok job at keeping them out of my way. I've even had them hold short as I am landing with BATC.
May 31, 20242 yr Possible yes, logical no. It's better to use FSLTL or AIG with BATC or SI. Take note that whatever you do BATC won't see the traffic and do anything with it.
May 31, 20242 yr Another thing I noticed I missed with BATC is being able to change the approach yourself! I just flew into LOWI (try that with BATC...) and noticed the approach that FSHud assigned me wasn't available in my G3000. So... I simply picked another while I was already flying the approach (!) and FSHud played along nicely. FSHud also guides you to proper parking stands instead of a gate (with my Vision Jet). There are a lot of little things that FSHud has and BATC is still lacking. Forgot how much little things, actually. Again... it's a joy to use a feature rich and reliable ATC addon after playing with the BATC EA (beta/alpha) for so long. I forgot how much more FSHud already has to offer compared to the current BATC version.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Regardless of what online source will be chosen it should also be possible to add your own voices like Cereproc. Competition seems to be a good thing... 😉 Motishow is a bit optimistic though because nothing has been decided yet and no one has actually heard possible voices. The dev is mainly 'thinking out loud' and asking for wishes. There isn't an actual 1.4 beta yet. Edited May 31, 20242 yr by tup61
