GSX v3.0.0 - Seated Passengers update

Featured Replies

All we need now is a first person mode where you can wander round the scenery and aircraft before taking your seat in the cockpit. Just re-assign the WASD keys and you're set to go 🙂

The usual boring technical explanation: Yes, of course, we know passengers will look dark at night but, it's not as if they are like that because of a bug or something, they are just missing some

You can be sure support for Seated Passengers in the PMDG will come. There are several reasons Fenix HAD to be first: Practical This was a huge release for us, and the way the system works,

Are you ever going to update IAH or ORD again?

So all this fanfare and it's just for one plane?

Wow

The level of self entitlement amongst some people is amazing. FSDT release a huge free update that no doubt took a significant amount of time to produce, and instead of simply saying "thanks" some people start banging on about sceneries or asking "is that it?" as if somehow they've been horrendously let down by this free update. Hey @verbal, what meaningful contribution have you made to the sim community?

Anyway - @virtual I for one appreciate the free update. I'm sure it will improve over time as will the list of support aircraft. Good work and thanks!

Amazing work. Will be great to see this integrated into the other top tier addons.

So glad the boarding sounds have also been revisited, it was repetitive and immersion breaking.

A potential future step for immersion is having every passenger have a carryon suitcase / briefcase / backpack etc.

All male cockpit and all female cabin crew?  Brave choice!

I have to say I’d really like to see a mix here. At least in the US it’s rare to have an all female inflight crew at this point. Sitting on a plane right now, all male cabin crew, one female pilot, on American Airlines.

I didn't see a Karen berating the crew tho, I guess all the MSFS flights will be drama free.  Great work on this update.

@virtuali, thank you for this. I don't have that particular plane but I'll look forward to seeing this arriving for other aircraft.

It looks absolutely wonderful, and is much appreciated, by me at least. I'm not in the least interested in piloting a plane, but GSX adds a whole new level to activity at the airport. For me, once I actually take off (if indeed I even get that far) in a tin tube that's usually the end of the session - I'll exit the flight and maybe do an arrival as a seperate session, maybe not. It's what goes on at either end that does it for me, time spent sitting in a cockpit otherwise is just boring. But hey, maybe I can spend some time being a passenger now! (but not too long - that's no fun either, at least not in cattle class <grin>)

Oh, and that makes me think, will this provide 1st/business class passengers as well, where the aircraft has the cabins?

cheers

Anyone else having purple flight attendant textures? Have already tried updating/reinstalling...

Looks impressive. MSFS is lucky to have GSX. There are a lot of non-aircraft add-ons that are exclusive to MSFS now that are quite good.

Next to add a lager lout/Karren to a Ryanair or Jet2 for a diversion to get the offending passenger arrested.

True, though very little is confirmed.

Yet, these stills from last year's teaser trailer give a strong hint:

For accuracy, the scrummage on Ryan Air as passengers try to get all those carry-on bags into the overhead lockers should be modelled.   It's surprising really that aeroplane manufacturers haven't thought of turning all that space below the cabin into luggage space.  Seems a no-brainer doesn't it?
