The Banning Municipal Airport is a city-owned airport located about a mile southeast of Banning, in Riverside County, California. It’s a single asphalt runway that can accommodate various aircraft, including private single-engine planes and corporate jets. Free to download at https://flightsim.to/file/75708/kbng-banning-municipal-airport

The airport is located between the Los Angeles bassin and 10 miles west of Palm Springs international airport. There’re some hangars, a fuel island and a small FBO. During the summer season, it hosts firefighting various aircraft despite being close to Hemet. Remarks: Unfortunately, the city of Banning has began phasing it out with the approval of FAA releasing the city from its obligation to keep its in operation.

FEATURES

• Add a real Tetrahedron (Landing Direction Indicator). The Tetrahedron is dynamic with the wind.
• Replace AI generated buildings with more realistic stock/free MSFS objects (see requirements)
• Add custom ground painting and replace all aprons textured
• Add hundreds of small objects to make the airport a more living and immersive environment. Mostly with stocked objects which requires no 3rd party library. See requirements below.
• Add several handcrafted objects all around the field (sign, ad, iconic object,…)
• Add a new startup helicopter positions
• Add all fences around the airport
• Add a lot of signs and boards here and here on buildings, gates and fences
• Add open hangars, some are empty waiting for you
• Clean vegetation and TIN here and here
• Extensive work to clean the underlying Bing texture to match with object
• Clean all night unrealistic blue poles. Add passive blue sticks
• Fix the windsock positions
• Fix the PAPI 2 lights runway 26 position
• Fix right traffic pattern runway 26
• Remove all non-existent taxiway signs and add the correct ones

@vbazillio So, got this airport installed last night and did several flights out of and around the area, mainly in my FSReborn Sting. Great work Vincent! Nice little airport and you seem to have captured the atmosphere and feel well. 😊

I've just uploaded a small updated that enhanced and tried to fix some slight issue with MSFS2024. This update has manu of my other attempt to cover MSFS2024 are also for MSFS2020. There's only one file for the two sim's version. Enjoy!

• Fix all blue and red poles size
• Fix the area at Tetrahedron (Landing Direction Indicator) in MSFS2024
• Fix elevation north side of the airport
• Clean vegetation and some ugly TIN but it's still a work in progress (fix for MSFS2024)
• Improve the static radioplane RP-54D Crossbow
