I am about to take the plunge but I would be grateful if you LS users could give me some additional insight ...

THANK YOU !!!

It costs about 6GBP: less than two flat whites in central London, so think of it as two cups of foregone coffee 😉

Absolutely agree @tfm, but my query has more to do with curiosity regarding how I should configure it to better suite my desktop configuration, which is far from being "top" at present standards 🙂

It works on RTX 2000 series too.

What does this mean ?

Does it double your frames ?

How is the smoothness and fluid if doubled ?

I have a Nvidia 2080super in use and my FPS at a Airport is around 19-23 with a used Airplane, up in the air around 32 to 36 FPS..

cheers 😉

The variety of reported experiences suggests that this app, like life, gives most to those who already have plenty - but, unlike life, is not ungenerous to those who have not.

If have an 2080 Super, too.

And the answers are:

yes

and

great - when it works.

I had issues when using the Fenix which I could not yet resolve, other planes (SR22, TBM 850) worked great and it's well worth the 7€ (for me).

Could you please give some details reagarding what quirks you experienced with the FENIX 320 ?

I really think you need to be able to run the sim at 30fps consistently for this app to work well. The key is getting it to match your monitor refresh rate to get the smoothness.  In my case, I am pretty dialed to 30 fps so I cap my fps at 30 in NCP and I use the 2x setting in the LS app  to match the 60hz that I run my monitor at.  If I dip below 30 for some reason (at a large airport with AI traffic) then the LS app doesn't really matter as I will still get the stutters and not as smooth.

That may be the key to what my system is doing.  I run at mostly Ultra, 4K, 28" monitor, DX12, DLSS, with a 3080, with the 3xxx FG mod and AutoFPS.  Totally smooth, not stutters, FR anywhere from 65 to 130, mostly in the 80 FPS range. I cannot run at consistently at 30 FPS without AutoFPS and lowering many of those settings.  That then be why my system will not behave with LS.  I believe I will stick with the higher settings and AutoFPS.  My quality and performance does not beg me to back off to use a different app.  I am happy to acknowledge the great LS results reported by others.

I would certainly hope that MSFS 2024 incorporate an overall optimized blend of these new innovations.

What bugs with this app..if I switch monitors to access Navigraph or other apps for the sim the go back to the main MSFS monitor now I have stutters and I have to either rescale again for it to go away or sometimes the stutters stick for a while.

My BIG problem with it is the loss of mouse control when I click on Scale and then the sim window.  About half the time the mouse cursor disappears.  I know the mouse cursor is moving because if I hit a box or tickable item it highlights but there is no mouse cursor on the screen.

A second - even BIGGER issue is that the Lossless Scaling Frame Generation only works for me when the Lossless window is in focus.  When the mouse cursor is working, see above, and I click on a button or knob in the sim window - the frame rate drops to half of what it is when the cursor is in the Lossless window.  I see this in the LossLess Draw FPS numbers on the top left of the sim window.   The FG frame rate returns to 2x when I click in the LossLess window.

The app works great at generating frames but is very hard for me to use due to the two problems above.

This problem disappeared for me when enabling "multi-display mode".

It's the same with native FG - only works when sim is in focus.
