SoCal to NorCal

Recommended Posts

First: a huge thank to you my friend TimHH, who graciously bought me a FlightBeam gift card this morning so I was able to get a free SFO.

Naturally I had to do a screenshot post 🙂

Please enjoy this trip from San Diego to San Francisco in the amazing FSW Learjet 35.

A marine layer kind of day at Lindbergh Intl

I kindly asked for an opposite direction departure, and ATC had a gap in their arrivals for me - we blast off RY 27 on the PADRZ2 sid

Just as soon as we're in the layer, we're out

The flight is about 400 nm and will take us around 2 hours block to block

The marine layer is pretty thick passing Santa Barbara as well...

Looking a bit nicer as we fly over Vandenburg Space Force Base (KVBG) and the areas of Santa Maria (KSMX) San Luis Obispo (KSBP)

Wow this stuff is thick again as we head over KMRY, approaching TOD on the SERFR4 star.

I always enjoy the colors of the Cargill salt facility (also on this side of the bay is the airport Palo Alto KPAO)

A pretty nice day to fly overall, ground speeds from 400 to 440 kts at FL400.  Here are some bonus airport pics

Lovely set…(Gift Cards for such…being always nice…🙂…)…

FSW Lear 35 is a wonderful plane, love the cockpit…

A classic up-the-coast trip, all the airport shots look great including the (free) FlightBeam SFO…🙂

(Have driven the California coastal Highway 1, once, in the reverse direction, from San Francisco to Los Angeles…)
