Sadly not possible in MSFS, we were investigating a trick with the external cameras but not sure how that's coming along personally

Thanks for the answer. I somehow already suspected it wasn‘t possible. Anyway, really looking forward to this plane. What you guys are doing for the flight sim community is absolutely amazing!

FBW deserve all the kudos! They have been the most dedicated, consistent and never asked for a dime.

Impressive work, FBW. Very well done.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Absolutely amazing work.  More so because its freeware.

I didn't see any of the presentation itself.  Did they give an estimate on release timeframe?  Imagine VATSIM Dubai or Doha with A380 and B777 releasing.  Middle East will be lit.

They can never win, can they..

You're right, that comment from me was mean...

To get back on topic, how nice would it have been if PMDG and/or FBW could have joined hands with the Asobo developers to create a taxi camera. Surely there is a way to do this if the smartest people join forces?

Or, given that we are flying fake planes, you could just make up a fake rule and pretend for some fake reason that your fake airline has banned the use of taxi cameras - for now.

Another A320?

The problem with MSFS is, that you're not able to control a second, totally separate camera/view in MSFS - independent of your main view. Even with 2024 this is not planned in the first place. Asobo says, implementing this would have a high performance impact, as a totally separate view needs to be rendered independantly. Which is true. We'll see, if they find a way in the future.

Even better, you can go to the outside view if necessary.  A significant advantage not afford to real pilots!

I am keen to make a profile for the PFPX (a more in-depth flight planning software) flight planner.  I emailed them a while back, but did not hear back.  I would need some data on what sort of fuel burn they have modelled.

Ya as GCBraun says the top guess so far is an A321, and A321neo likely. I'd much rather they put out an A33x or Concorde even.

EDIT: @thepilot re: your question below, it's long been said by FSL they are fully focusing on MSFS now: https://forums.flightsimlabs.com/topic/32876-04-july-2023-news-update/ .. and in a recent thread (that looks to have been deleted now 😅) they did chime in saying their first release will be before MSFS 2024 releases.

Sorry didn't mean to go off-topic here.

That brings me to the question, is the taxi camera actually an MEL item?

Probably NEO, based on some of the registrations FSL team members have been seen flying around online, on Vatsim.

But where has FSL actually said they would release something for MSFS before MSFS 2024 hits?

Yeah that's what they have been saying for a while, but they haven't ever laid out even a rough timeline... that they deleted the thread is not very reassuring it might be soon (i.e. before MSFS 2024 comes out) 😆

Also, sorry for off topic, maybe we should carve this discussion out to a different thread.
