For those of you that just can't take it anymore or are worried about them having us over a barrel, I saw that xplane is getting (or already has) photogrammetry.  Maybe a little relief to know there could be an alternative if things get worse.

No luck here (Germany). I can sign in the X-Box App but the simulator insists that I don't own the game. It is listed in the Microsoft Store correctly but  that doesn't help.

Edit: When starting the Sim from the Store it works, othwerwise not. Go figure...

This morning (France), XBox app has been repaired, but MSFS don't start online (I get the screen asking to insert a disc).

Edit : seems to be fixed. I get a mandatory update.

Same here. Stuck reloading a 128 gig update. ( Seems like its re installing everything.)

Hopefully everything works after.

Would not have killed Microsoft from stopping us loading it in the first place. Would have saved a lot of frustration.

They are saved somewhere in the PC I guess

For my Microsoft Store installation mine are located in one of two subfolders here:
C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\

One subfolder appears empty.  The other subfolder has a very long name made up mostly of numbers. That is the folder!  There are a lot of subfolders in that location, all with long cryptic names.  Each of those subfolders contain (2) files.  One of the files has again, a long cryptic name, mostly numeric digits.  If you look through those files with notepad+ or another .json capable editor you will see them as configuration files or profiles for flight controls and the like. You will only find default profiles, or profiles you have created yourself.  I would highly caution against making any edits to any of them.  Just understand the nature and location of the files.  I routinely make backups but have never needed to attempt restoring them.

Click on the "reveal contents" link below to open up a window that shows how one of the files appear.  It is my MSFS profile for my Honeycomb Alpha yoke for use with the SWS Kodiak.

😕

point it to your MSFS folder, under which the Community and the proprietary folders lay

It is all working just fine for me right now. Last night is was not (msfs would not start). FS2024 will even more have stuff happening in the cloud's servers than FS2020. Chocking the cloud services even more, probably.

I said "just fine'. However it did reset all the helpful aids to ON and reset all my controller profiles to default. I had to go click the arrows on all my profiles to move from default to my normal profiles (took about 5 minutes). And then turn off voice menus and autoland and so forth (another 5 minutes).

Imagine that happening in the real world. The pilot enters the plane for his assigned flight and takes his seat. Is greeted by a voice: "Good day, Captain, let's begin. This is a yoke, notice how it looks much like your car's steering wheel..."
