Dominican Republic Island Scenery

Featured Replies

Good evening,

I am using FSX and own the MDPC Tropicalsim, however I wonder if someone could be kind to signpost me where there is a good freeware Dominican Republic VFR scenery for the entire island that will not effect the existing Punta Cana scenery from Tropical Sim.

many thanks

Hi,

There is landclass freeware for the Dominican Republic available here in the Avsim library which may improve the overall appearance of the country, although I don't have any personal experience of this addon. However this is just landclass and not photorealistic VFR scenery which I don't think is available as either freeware or payware for that country. Given that FSX is not a very old platform and only a few of us are still using it, I think it is extremely unlikely that what you are seeking will be developed for it.

The only other option which may improve the overall appearance of the Dominican Republic with more accurate roads, rivers, coastlines, towns etc is Ultimate Terrain X Tropical America and Caribbean available as payware from Flight1. I use this and it certainly improves the overall appearance of the Caribbean Islands although, once again, this is not photorealistic VFR scenery.

Hope this helps a little,

Bill
