Did anyone try Charlie pedals at FS Expo?

Yeah that red thing is really ugly. Wish they didn’t do that.

  • I think FSElite interviewed the owner (forgot his name). According to him things got sorted out with his former partner. They will take care of the older orders and get ready for the new products.

  • After several day using it I actually love it. There is "foot-heel" rest at the base of Charlie that resembles convectional airplane!  IRL unless you need a dramatic ruder application you push rudder

Maybe it is. I already have the crosswinds so I wouldn’t be picking these up. The problem with relying on honeycomb software is for people like myself who use spad.next it can cause big problems insta

It was already in the Alphas. I think it's their visual identity (the red honeycomb). I don't like it either. Isn't possible to turn it off (I mean through a software, not physically cutting the wires)?

Wonder how it stacks up against my Crosswinds with dampener mod.

I mean I'm all for upgrades (isnt that half the fun in this hobby?) but the Crosswinds give me pretty good tension/resistance akin to the small planes I fly IRL.

I don't have Crosswind, but I tight up my tension all the way up and it almost like light GA. Since I don't have a tiller i suffer the most during airliner taxi LOL

At least the Alphas have a push button at the back of the device to switch the light off in steps.

I would love a mod that just terminates the Alpha's lights permanently.  I am about to configure a new system and having difficulty convincing system constructers that I have not interest in RGB cases, fans, etc.

Ask them something like that:

all-black-no-rgb-v0-skrobkbbzh7a1.jpg?wi

Noctua has amazing case and cpu fans with no RGBs.

I did with two, and the reponse was why?  One misunderstood so badly that the response was "it would cost more $$ to remove the RGB wiring and leds than what it would save to build without it".  Seriously? One was a builder featured at Flightsim Expo 2024.

What is the case for the system in the photo?  And cooler?  And do I see GPU physical support?

Case seems to be the Thermaltake view 71. The cpu cooler is the Noctua NH-D15 chromax black. I think there are two GPU supports actually, horizontally and vertically. Not my PC, just found on Reddit and kept the pic.

If you want non-RGB fans, that perform great (good cfm) get those noctuas. The cpu cooler is also great, on par with any good water cooler (as long as you have a good airflow inside your case).

But yeah, I know the pain, these days everything comes with RGB. It’s annoying sometimes.

Hmm, well that sheds a different light on it. I guess people have to do business but he seems to be on the fringe of copyright, passing off and a bunch of other shady practices!

Hope no one gets hurt with this.

Take care guys.
